Shelley Russets head to playoffs after falling short against Skyline Grizzlies

IDAHO FALLS – Shelley Russets played their last game against the Skyline Grizzlies as two different offensive teams.

Shelley Russets played their last regular-season game Friday night, October 22, at Ravsten Stadium against the Skyline Grizzlies.  The Russets came out soft in the first half, going to the locker room 0 to 14.  However, they returned to the field, scoring quickly.  They missed the PAT.   Skyline turned the ball over, wherein the Russets took advantage and scored.  They attempted a two-point conversion, which failed.  Skyline eventually received the ball and ran the clock out.

The Russets (6-3) now head to the playoffs as an at-large team. They will play Preston (6-3) at Shelley High School, this Friday, October 29, at 7 p.m. Shelley played Preston earlier in the season beating them 15 to 6. The winner of this game will play either Sandpoint or Mountain Home.
