Salvation Army kicks off 2021 Kettle Campaign seeking volunteers

BLACKFOOT – Salvation Army’s Kettle Campaign Kickoff raises public awareness of the region’s needy and the need for bell ringers to help bring in donations.

The kickoff for the Salvation Army’s Area 2021 Kettle Campaign will be held on Monday, November 22nd, at noon at the Blackfoot office of Southeast Idaho Community Action Agency. The SEICAA’s office is located at 206 South Spruce in Blackfoot.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, volunteers are recruited by the Salvation Army, volunteer organizations, and other churches in the area to recruit bell ringers to stand in front of area stores and raise money for the region’s needy.  The kickoff is an annual event to raise public awareness of the Kettle Campaign and recruit residents to become volunteer bell ringers.

“The Kettle Campaign is essential for needy individuals and families in East Idaho,” Dan Cravens, one of the event’s organizors said.

“Bell ringers are needed in Idaho Falls, Ammon, Shelley, Pocatello, Chubbuck, and Blackfoot.  The money raised goes to assist area families who are in need.”

Lunch will be served for attendees at the kickoff event.  Officers from the Salvation Army Pocatello and Idaho Falls centers will speak at the event and answer questions.  If you have any questions before the event, please get in touch with Dan Cravens at 208-380-3075.
