Nalders Funeral Home Obituary

Wilma Louise Weimer Freeman, 80, of Basalt, Idaho, passed away heartbroken on December 10, 2021, almost 6 months to the day that the love of her life passed.

Wilma was born September 10, 1941, in Colburn, Colorado to Ross Stanley Weimer and Talitha Anna Billings Weimer. She was raised all over the place, moving 54 times because her dad worked in the coal mines. She had two loving brothers who loved to tease her throughout the years.

On April 30, 1960, she married the love of her life, Jerry Freeman in Basalt, Idaho. They started their life together in Basalt, Idaho. After their first daughter, they moved to Carmichael, California where they had their second daughter and finally a little boy. After a few more moves in California, they finally moved back to Basalt where they spent the rest of their 61 years together.

Wilma loved spending time with her family, long drives to the mountains, fishing, traveling when she could, crocheting afghans, and so much more. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow into wonderful adults. They eventually made her life even more amazing with great grandchildren. She was always completely involved and when the kids were over you could find her playing games, having tea parties, building forts, or whatever the grandchildren/great-grandchildren wanted. Mom had a laugh that always made you smile, and you knew she loved you no matter what. She worked at RT French Co. and then Pillsbury until she retired to take care of her mother.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tana (Gary) Robinson, Lori (Clayton) Orme; Nine grandchildren, Jake (Lindsey) Robinson, Brittney (Dillon) Howell, Casey (Kalli) Robinson, Dereck (Ashley) Waggoner, Andy Waggoner, Chase Loynd, Amber Serr, Sarah Baker, Chance Loynd; Ten Great-Grandchildren; Jordan Robinson, Jerry Waggoner, Donivan Waggoner, Carson Robinson, Cage Waggoner, Isabel Waggoner, Axel Waggoner, Daxon Howell, Zoey Howell, Paxton Robinson; Four Step-Great Grandchildren, and her brother, Allen Weimer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry C Freeman, her son Jerry W Freeman, great-grandson Donic Howell, two great-granddaughters, father, mother, brother Gerry, and half brothers and sisters.

There will be a small graveside service at a later date at the Basalt Cemetery.

Words cannot express the love we have for her and all she did for us. We know there was an amazing reunion with her love of 61 years and her son she deeply missed for so many years. Our family wants to thank everyone for the kind words, love, and support that has been shown.
