Bingham County Sheriff’s Log: March 24-30

This log is only a partial report of all incidences reported to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office. It contains only those incidences that occur in northern Bingham County. The Sheriff’s Office handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying police, fire, and medical services in this area. Community Pioneer omits individuals’ names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following is a list of most of the incidents reported and responded to by Bingham County Deputies between March 24-30.

March 24

11:06 a.m. Alarm-Residential — 1500 N, Shelley — 2 burglar alarm from interior kitchen motion sensor. (Name removed) is the responsible party, they did request officers respond, no one should be there, (responsible party) is en route ETA 15.

3:01 p.m. Burglary Residence — 1200 E, Shelley — RP’s house was broken into sometime in the past 4 months. Door was damaged and broken. There were some items taken, mostly tools.

5:21 p.m. Animal Complaint — 900 E, Shelley — There is a brown Labrador running loose in the area, has a red collar but no tags. Does not appear to be well taken care of.

5:52 p.m. Civil Stand-by — 800 N, Basalt — RP let (name removed) borrow a gate and he has not returned it for over a week. RP would like a civil stand-by while she picks it up from his residence. RP en route, ETA 10 minutes in a blue GMC pickup with a UHAUL trailer.

9:04 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Roosevelt St, Firth — Southbound on Highway 91 following a possible intoxicated driver, older white Pontiac 4-door, all over the road speeding then braking.

11:18 p.m. Unwanted Subject — 810 N, Basalt — Stop son, in the driveway going through his toolbox, RP disconnected when asking further questions – Sounded as if he may be intoxicated.

March 25

2:52 p.m. Theft-Grand — 1350 E, Shelley — Female named (name removed) stole RP’s EFT card and used all the funds.

March 26

8:17 a.m. Traffic Complaint — 1550 N, Shelley — Tan Toyota passenger car (license plate number removed) that is possibly intoxicated. RP no loner following. RP stated the vehicle did a u-turn in front of him and almost went into the canal. Willing to sign.

6:49 p.m. Traffic Complaint — N Highway 91, Shelley — RP reporting they are following a black Jetta (license plate number removed) that they believe is intoxicated. Unable to maintain lane of travel or speeds.

March 27

8:51 p.m. Disorderly Conduct — Roosevelt St, Firth — RP reporting that the neighbor is baiting animals and trying to kill animals. RP is yelling at the neighbor.

10:48 p.m. Animal Complaint — Roosevelt St, Firth — RP believes his neighbor has drugged his dog.

March 28

10:32 a.m. Animal Complaint — 1330 E, Shelley — RP states his neighbors at the above address has a cow he would like checked on. It has no feed.

11:02 a.m. Traffic Complaint — E Highway 91, Firth — White Chevy truck with work bed and Utah license plate. Swerving in ad out of the lane.

11:06 a.m. Abandoned Vehicle — E Wolverine Rd, Firth — Will be at the W at Wolverine – Gold 2004 Volkswagon that has been there for several months.

11:34 a.m. Information — 400 N, Firth — RP states they were delivering documents to (name removed), and she threatened to shoot them when they went on the property. He would like to file a report.

2:35 p.m. Information — 1000 N, Shelley — RP states he met a female online, and she is now threatening to share his nude photos if he doesn’t send her money, he would like to file a report.

March 29

8:14 a.m. Welfare Check — 550 E, Firth — Student reported that his mother is having mental health issues was acting strange and agitated when she dropped the student off about 15 ago. Request welfare check on her. (Name removed). RP could not recall what she was driving and had no further info on the female.

1:56 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Firth River Bottoms — 2 male juveniles in an older Toyota Corrolla, red o maroon, no front bumper, almost ran RP over. Last seen headed out of the river bottoms back toward Firth. Not willing to sign.

3:52 p.m. Agency Assist — 800 E, Shelley — Request check two address for wanted subject out of Ada County. Address shown and also (address removed) subject is (name and birthdate removed). Showing warrant for Fail to Register.

5:03 p.m. Bus Violation — 1550 N & 800 E, Shelley — A red Saturn passenger car (license plate number removed) ran the bust stop arm at 3:40 p.m.

9:40 p.m. Civil Complaint — N Hanson Ave, Shelley — RP stated that her mother has blocked her in her driveway. RP stated that she has parked her vehicle on the sidewalk Chevy Malibu.

March 30

7:22 a.m. Animal Complaint — Interstate 15, Firth — RP states that there is a dog on the interstate causing a hazard.

9:06 a.m. Shots Fired — Roosevelt St, Firth — RP states that (name removed) just fired a pellet gun from his yard into the neighbor’s yard. RP states that he shot at him while he was outside. Suspect lives in (address removed).

5:40 p.m. Request Assistance — 1340 E, Shelley — RP states her elderly uncle has dementia and is starting to get physical and pushing the RP around, screaming and yelling.
