Suspension of News Service

Dear Community,

As some of you may know, Mike Price who was the Editor of the paper has moved to Utah to look for additional opportunities in the Media Business.  We wish him well and hope that he can find a good job that will bring him joy.  Unfortunately, his departure comes at a time when I am recovering from brain surgery due to Parkinson’s Disease.  My surgery was to improve my condition, but it has had the opposite effect.  It appears it will take a longer time to recover from it.  So, with regret, I have no choice but to suspend operations of the Community Pioneer until such time as I recover.  I regret doing this because of the faithful readership that we have.  I promise if I recover from my ailments, I will resume operations of the Pioneer and provide you with the community service of letting you know about the events that are occurring in Firth and Shelley.  In the meantime, I’ll continue to provide you with coverage of the Shelley City Council meetings.

I have loved serving the community in this capacity.  I have loved getting to know people and their unique business activities.  I have loved learning about the service people give to each other and I look forward to the day I can do that again.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey L Kelley,

President of Community Pioneer Inc.
