Accident closes US Highway 91

SHELLEY– A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of United States Highway 91 and Cotton Road, north of Shelley has closed both lanes of traffic.

Idaho State Police and Bonneville County deputies responded to the accident that occurred around 7:10 p.m. ISP told Community Pioneer a Jeep traveling west on Cotton Road failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was hit by a two-door sedan traveling north on the highway.

There were no injuries. Both lanes of traffic are closed as ISP investigates the accident.
