Carol Christine O’Dell obituary

Carol Christine “Chris†O’Dell, 72, passed away at IFCH Sunday, January 31, 2021 with her family in attendance.

Chris was born June 19, 1948 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Lorna (Musgrave) Johnson and Cleon L. Johnson. 

Chris graduated from Bonneville High School with a year of higher education at BYU in Provo, Utah.

Chris was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She and Daniel O’Dell were married in Idaho Falls on October 11, 1967 and sealed in the Rexburg, Idaho Temple on June 20, 2009.

Chris worked several positions as an executive secretary and finished her career after 26 years at EITC as receptionist, secretary and party planner.

She and Dan loved the outdoors.

Chris is survived by her husband, Daniel, her son, Joshua and his wife Shellie (Clayton), as well as her grandson, Clayton Gain.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Comore Loma Ward Chapel, 4375 East Sunnyside Road in Ammon.  Those who would like to participate in the service from home are invited to view the service on a live broadcast over Zoom at the link found below. The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home in Shelley.
