Bonneville County Sheriff’s log: June 30 – July 7
This log is only a partial report of all incidences reported to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office. It contains only those incidences that occur in northern Bingham County. The Sheriff’s Office handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying police, fire, and medical services in this area. Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following is a list of most of the incidents reported and responded to by Bingham County Deputies between June 30 through July 7.
June 30
2:09 p.m. Traffic Complaint — 575 E, Firth — Ongoing problem with FEX Ex driver speeding on her road. RP confronted him and he just went faster. Spins tires, spreads she has attempted to contact with FEDEX but can’t get into contact. Left 5 ago on W River Road. Hisp male Driver.
2:42 p.m. Animal Complaint — 800 N, Basalt — Brown quarter horse in the road, west of the substation. No in the front lawn at location.
5:39 p.m. Welfare Check — Idaho Supreme, Firth — Group of juveniles riding bikes in and out of the road where the two canals intersect. Also driving off the bridge into the canal.
7:35 p.m. Civil Stand-by — 1100 E, Shelley — RP Standing by in a silver dodge dakota for a civil standby while he picks up belongings. Will wait for officer.
11:57 p.m. Wanted Subject — E River Rd, Firth — Silver Volkswagon Passet stated its parked and still on. Stated people inside parked weird.
July 1
8:45 a.m. Traffic Complaint — Interstate 15, Firth — There is a large amount of house or wire in the right lane on the interstate causing a hazard.
8:46 a.m. Animal Complaint — 550 E, Firth — A doberman dog with a collar is loose in the area. Unkn onwer. Address on the tag said in Idaho Falls.
10:29 a.m. Fire Call — 1415 N, Shelley — Brush fire in junipers.
12:15 p.m. Animal Complaint — N Hanson Ave, Shelley — 2 Dogs at her house for over 4 hours unknown owner, have them posted on Facebook with no response. Dogs are both black and looks like labs but with longer hair, neither have collars however both have chains that are identicl. Will try to keep the detained and will cal if she is unable to.
1:03 p.m. Trespass — Connections Credit Union, Firth — Male going in the bank without an account has backed his vehicle into a parking spot and was asking the tellers how much money there was there. Stated his wife works at the bank and told the RP she was too scared to call.
1:26 p.m. Request Assistance — 600 E, Firth — Someone borke into the rood cellar. It was screwed shut.
2:23 p.m. Motorist Assist — Highway 91, Firth — TK with a stock TRLR blocking lane of travel SB changing a tire.
3:44 p.m. Request Asistance — 800 E, Shelley — RP’s juvenile daughter is reomantically involved with an adult male. RP has asked the male to stop contacting her but refuses to stop.
4:26 p.m. Vehicle Fire — 1100 E, Shelley — Vehicle is on fire, no one in the vehicle. Flames are not incredibly large yet. Not blocking the roadway, on a ditch road.
10:14 p.m. Request Assistance — 1000 N, Firth — RP Reporting that his wife (name removed) got int a fight with the RP and left in a red Dodge CHarger that has a low tire. RP advised that she has their juvenile child with her.
July 2
9:04 a.m. Fraud — Firth Mill & Elevator — RP states that they recieved a check back in April that is for a closed account. Suspect (name removed) out of Rigby.
5:05 p.m. Animal Complaint — E River Rd, Firth — Possible address, will be a white house, last house before it opened up into a large field, the house was just to the east of a large gray barn. RP states they have cattle in the front with no grass, cow that was laying down could see their ribs and hips. House has a detached garage with a camper in front.
9:43 p.m. Welfare Check — 750 E Shelley — RP Believes there are under age people drinking at the residence.
July 3
9:54 a.m. Water Call — 600 N, Firth — RP states that there is a male wandering out in his hayfield. RP on scene in a green 4D Dodge pick up.
10:20 a.m. Grand Theft — 500 E, Firth — Theft of jewelry from the residence sometime yesterday. RP has possible suspect information.
12:55 p.m. Trespass — 1200 N, Shelley — RP reporting a male and female parked outside the fence in a truck (license plate number removed). Female is acting like she is working on the truck and the RP watched the male subject scale the fence and is currently walking around inside the locked gate.
7:30 p.m. Welfare Check — 1250 N, Shelley — RP reporting that there are several juveniles jumping off the bridge. RP believes it is unsafe and need to be spoken to.
9:30 p.m. Request Assistance — 750 E, Shelley — RP reporting their juvenile was hitting people and just left the house on foot.
July 4
8:03 a.m. Request Assistance — 1200 N, Shelley — RP states that she is watering the neighbor’s garden, as they are out of town, and a female come out and started screaming at her. Suspect is (name removed). Suspect has previously threatened the RP.
8:32 a.m. Animal Complaint — 1300 N, Shelley — RP states that he has located an American Bulldog, femail, white and brown, wearing brown leather. Looks like she may be pregnant.
8:19 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — 1200 N, Shelley — Drone flying over RP’s house. Has been doing so for several days. Currently over a neighbors house. RP would like contact.
10:34 p.m. Accident — Highway 91, Firth — Veh Vs Deer, 2010 Chevy Equinox. Non injury. RP pulled to side of road. SB lanes.
11:19 p.m. Fireworks Complaint — LDS Church, Basalt — Near the church in basalt, fireworks.
July 5
8:42 a.m. Animal Complaint — 400 N, Firth — RP states that they are missing their red heeler. Male, is fixed. Not wearing a collar.
10:56 p.m. Phone Harrasment — 425 E, Shelley — RP requesting to speak to a deputy in regards to receiving “hate messages” from (name removed) who is an ex fiance. Last heard from him around 4 p.m. her time. He has been sending vulgar messages and making threats.
July 6
9:02 a.m. Property Damage — North Bingham County Park — Camper hit the gate. Camper left. RP has their info.
10:17 a.m. Accident — 1550 N, Shelley — No injuries, no road blockage. Whi CHev TK and Blu Chev Imp.
1:21 p.m. Motorist Assist — Highway 91, Firth — Reporting an elderly female near the above location in the NB lan in a tan subaru with flashers on.
4:33 p.m. Civil Complaint — 900 E, Shelley — RP sold beetles to (name removed) out of Illinois and she returned a product that does not belong to RP. She will no longer answer his calls/emails
July 7
7:27 a.m. Welfare Check — Firth River Bottoms — RP gav a female a ride to Firth River Bottoms from Maverick. (Name removed) YOF pregnant and just got out of the hospital. Her boyfriend (name removed) YOM. She has a motorcycling in the tent and a broke down trlr. Her boyfriend uses meth. She is wearing plad pjs with a pink tank top. Carrying a medical bag, possibly a colostamy bag.
9:34 a.m. Animal Complaint — 800 E, Shelley — A larg whi dog with gld spots with no collar went missing. Male. Not chipped.
10:14 a.m. Panic Alarm — 1350 E, Shelley — (Name removed) pressed a code for duress alarm repeatedly. Pending Contact.
10:28 a.m. Accident — N Main St, Firth — Delivery TK hit exhaust for natural gas heater. Cannot smell gas. Currently parked in p lot.
