Shelley Police Log: June 30 – July 7
The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between June 30 to July 7.Â
June 30
8:39 a.m. Civil Complaint – S. Holmes – Stolen vehicle Gld/200 Pont/Grand Prix Last seen 0200 stated her son took the vehicle and has not returned it by 0328 hrs received text stating he was heading back home and so far has not returned.
4:43 p.m. Traffic Complaint – Shelley – Reporter advised vehicles are speeding through the alley due to the traffic detour off Park Street. So he took it upon himself to block off the alley so that children playing in the area do not get hit.
July 1
6:46 p.m. Firework Complaint – Opal Court – Reporter states people are shooting fireworks in the air in an unsafe manner, will be the first 2 story apartment across the road from the reporter approximately 100 yards to the east. Male in a red shirt with an American Flag in his yard.
July 2
1:28 a.m. Harassment – W. Fir – Reporter reporting that the upstairs neighbor (name omitted) is acting out again and is coming down to their apartment harassing them.
4:13 a.m. Unlawful Entry – Quigg Ave. – Reporter reporting that someone got into their vehicles around midnight. The reporter saw it on their security camera. All 4 of the reporter’s vehicles were unlocked. The reporter believes it was a male. Taller skinny and wearing a light-colored jacket with the hood up. Skinny jeans and shoes.
5:28 a.m. Grand Theft – N. Park – Reporter states that there is a white Ford F150 and trailer blocking her garage and driveway.
10:46 a.m. Animal Complaint – Found – S. Holmes – Reporter states that there are two large black dogs running loose in the neighborhood. No collars. Belong at a residence just down the roadway.
10:56 a.m. Fraud – Brent Way – Requesting to speak with an officer regarding funds she provided over the phone.
5:36 p.m. Traffic Complaints – Longhurst Lane – Reporter states there is an older open-top white Jeep with children standing up screaming and yelling and driving at high rate of speed up and down Longhurst. Have done it several times now. Last seen just 2 hours ago.Â
10:12 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance – W. Maple – Reporter states there is someone outside that has been shooting a gun or fireworks off for the last 20 minutes. Approximately 25 rounds. Unsure which it is. They are possibly by the playground.
11:49 a.m. – Request Assistance – Reporter needing to file a report with an officer, Spanish speaking, unknown exactly what for.
July 3
10:38 p.m. Animal Complaint – Found – Milton Ave. – Tan and white boxer ran into her residence. Unknown who the dog belongs to and would like it picked up.
11:31 p.m. Fireworks Complaint – Reporter says her neighbor on Windriver Drive Lane to the end is shooting off fireworks, and it’s coming into her yard.
11:43 p.m. Mental Health Issues – Reporter is worried about her upstairs neighbor who has threatened to shoot her door down. Reporter can not remember her name.
July 4
1:10 a.m. CPO Violation – S. State Street – Arrested.
3:08 p.m. Civil Complaint – W. Maple – Reporter states that his child’s mother is frantic and refusing to give the child to the reporter. She’s holding a 2 month.
3:28 p.m. Petit Theft – W. Fir – Red sunfaded BMX style pedal bike that was taken from the stairwell sometime last night.
6:03 p.m. Animal Complaint – State & Center – Brown boxer was running loose near the tracks. Last seen area of E. Center near State Street. Now across from Mr. Pizza, running southbound on State.
6:46 p.m. Fireworks Complaint – W. Center – Someone behind her residence is lighting fireworks and scaring her horses.
9:14 p.m. Fireworks Complaint – Milton – Reporter’s neighbors shooting fireworks over the top of their house and it’s raining down into the reporter’s backward. Neibhor is (name omitted). Reporter does not need to be contacted. Â
9:43 p.m. Fireworks Complaint – Ruby Circle – Reporter’s neighbors are setting off car alarms with the amount of fireworks. They’re in the milddle of the parking lot and in a main road. Reporter does not need to be contacted.
9:50 p.m. Fireworks Complaint – Berrett Ave. – lAerials being lit off next to a power pole. Going higher than the power pole. Concerned for fire danger.
11:05 p.m. Fireworks Complaint – S. Holmes – Referenced noise complaint.

July 5
3:29 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance – Shelley High School – Black Volkswagon Passat (license # omitted) in the parking lot with severe damage.
5:41 p.m. Aggravated Battery – North State – Reporter just had a verbal with his ex-wife at location. Ex left in a white 4-door car. Ex is (name omitted). Reporter will be in his black Ford F150.
7:24 p.m. – Animal Complaint – Milton – Bro mixed breed dog running loose in the neighborhood. Has a purple collar.,
July 6
7:02 p.m. Accident – S. Emerson Ave. – Reporter hit a street sign in the parking lot. It is bent over. It’s 25 mph sign. Reporter is in a red Nisson Altima.
2:08 p.m. Civil Complaint – Opal Court – Dump truck & semi that the reporter owns, and he was told it was a civil issue by Bonneville when the vehicles were within their jurisdiction. However, he has located them in Shelley now at the above location.
6:27 p.m. Request Assistance – Stated that a teenage daughter was driving with a permit with her boyfriend, that is 18, without permission from her parents. Would like to speak with an officer about it.
6:38 p.m. Animal Complaint – Lost – Elm St. – Missing – A female boxer last seen yesterday around noon. Not wearing a collar. She is not chipped and is not spayed.
6:51 p.m. Animal Complaint – found – S. State Street – Found Husky.
7:25 p.m. Civil Complaint – E. Maple – Daughter has been staying with her boyfriend’s parents and they are kicking her out and will be bring her back to the reporter’s houise and she is very upset. The parents stated they would have here to the reporter’s at 19:30 hrs. The reporter would like officers present as they have spoken to dauaghter on the phone, and she is very angry.
8:01 p.m. Information – Holley St. – Stated he found a bag with drugs in it – would like an office to come pick it up.
10:31 p.m. Open door – State St. – Stated the front door is unlocked and the store is closed.
July 7
9:23 a.m. Harassment Threats – W. Oak – Reporter’s husband (name omitted) received a text stating they were going to burn the house down with the kids in it. Come from (number omitted). Reporter and her husband don’t know who it is from. Believes it’s an app created.
