Accident disrupts exit from Shelley High School
SHELLEY – After this evening’s Shelley football game, a two-vehicle accident at US Highway 91 and Robald Street closed the highway and street for 45 minutes while crews cleaned up the scene.
A gnarly-looking accident thankfully ended with only minor injuries after two sports utility vehicles collided at approximately 9:20 p.m. Friday, October 1. According to witnesses, the driver of the white vehicle pulled onto the highway, not seeing the on-coming black vehicle. According to a Bingham County deputy, all the occupants we’re wearing seat belts and none were injured, except for some seatbelt bruising.Â
A half-block away, Shelley High School’s varsity football team was licking their wounds after a gnarly loss to a raucous Bonneville Bees football team. The game came down to the wire with the Russets threatening. But, no potatoes for this harvesting crew. Shelley 7 – Bonneville 13
