Shelley Police Log – Nov. 5-11
The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week deploying police, fire and medical services. Names and specific addresses have been omitted. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between Nov. 5 through Nov. 11.
Nov. 5
10:27 a.m. Accident reported at Emerson and Center Street.
11:07 a.m. Welfare Check on individual who was struggling emotionally.
1:15 p.m. Civil complaint was made for a vehicle being parked for several months on W. Oak.
5:19 p.m. Missing Person – A Shelley High School juvenile did not attend school today.
7:25 p.m. Petit Theft – An individual on W. Maple reported gas had been stolen out of his vehicle sometime during the evening.
8:40 p.m. Welfare Check was made on an individual.
9:21 p.m. Suspicious activity at the high school turned out to be kids sneaking around the school building.
Nov. 6
1:00 a.m. Welfare check was made on two females just talking near one of the entrances to Golden Valley Natural. There were no vehicles around.
4:54 a.m. Grand Theft – Man witnessed someone stealing his 2015 Nissan Sentra, dark grey with tinted windows, from his home on E. Locust. He saw the vehicle turn south on Lincoln Avenue.
9:07 a.m. Welfare check on a family living on E. Center.
4:50 p.m. Animal Complaint – A dog was running through neighborhood without a leash along Meadowlark Drive.
8:16 p.m. Animal Complaint – A Husky puppy with collar, but no tag, is found on the loose in a person’s back yard on South Park.
Nov. 7
10:14 a.m. Animal Complaint – A person, who was missing a Husky puppy, met with police at the pound to bail out said incarcerated puppy.
4:45 p.m. Police responded to a residential personal alarm on E. Elm Street.
11:43 p.m. An Officer discovered an unlocked door at the high school.
Nov. 8
10:16 a.m. Animal Complaint – An individual states 4 weeks ago she was at her friend’s house and someone hit her dog.
10:25 a.m. Tobacco Violation at Hobbs Middle School.
11:01 a.m. Unwanted Subjects – A person reported two individuals were refusing to leave his or her apartment on W. Maple.
12:59 p.m. Police assisted an agency in contacting an individual on W. Maple.
4:40 p.m. A person on W. Maple wanted to talk to an officer about a civil issue.
Nov 9
3:52 p.m. Welfare Check – An individual was unable to contact an elderly person on Shelley Avenue.
9:45 p.m. Threat-Harassment – An individual on W. Maple claims she was threatened on Facebook for property left at her residence.
Nov. 10
12:52 p.m.     Animal Complaint – An individual complained a dog was continually coming into her yard and attacking her animals on S. Milton. The dog appears to possibly be a Husky and was last seen leaving the area with what appeared to be a white Chihuahua.
1:51 p.m. Request Assistance – Family dispute on W. Fir.
3:21 p.m. Request for Assistance in dealing with a Personal Safety Civil Protection Order on S. Byron.
Nov. 11
12:24 a.m. Request Assistance – A woman on S. Emerson locked herself out of her residence and her children were inside.
1:05 p.m.       Animal Complaint – An individual on Robin’s Way reported his neighbor’s dog is constantly getting out and is being aggressive. The dog was still loose when the officer arrived.Â
3:50 p.m. Petit-Theft – An individual on Meadowlark Drive claims her purse went missing after people working in her home and movers at the home had left.
10:29 p.m. Wanted Subject – An individual, wanted by police, and who appeared to be under the influence, was reported to be leaving an apartment on W. Maple.
