Bingham County Sheriff’s Log: Nov. 27 – Dec. 3

This log is only a partial report of all incidences reported to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office. It contains only those incidences that occur in northern Bingham County. In this area, the Sheriff’s Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits names and specific addresses.   The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by Bingham County Deputies between Nov 27 through Dec 3.

Nov 27

8:06 a.m.         Animal Complaint – An individual living along 1165 North reported he found a deer trapped in a fence and worked to free its leg.  However, it now appears the deer’s leg is injured. 

2:33 p.m.         A woman living along the New Sweden Highway requested a deputy standby as she picks up her Toyota, which is in a U-Haul.

7:30 p.m.         Civil Complaint in Woodville Area – Granpa’s niece keeps coming onto the property.  The son saw her, and she took off.  She left footprints and unplugged the trailer.  She was to stay off the property.   

10:24 p.m.       Suspicious Circumstances – An individual reported a white Dodge Caravan to be park at the I-15 NB Rest Area.   The vehicle has a covered front windshield, and a pipe is hanging out the back window. 

Nov 28

4:24 p.m.         Suspicious Circumstances – A person reported four vehicles were park in the middle of the roadway at the Woodville Townsite. 

9:02 p.m.         Suspicious Circumstances – A woman living northwest of Goshen reported a white mini-van with no plates was driving down the road and stopping at every mailbox.  She said she could no longer see them and believes they have pulled over and turned off their lights. 

10:30 p.m.       A deputy arrested a person on an outstanding warrant at Hard Times in Firth.  The individual was in possession of Narcotics – Marijuana.   

Nov 29           

9:27 a.m.         A caller reported a male was sleeping on an overpass river at Mile Marker 109 SB Interstate.  He was wearing dark clothing and was wearing a face mask. 

Nov 30

7:07 p.m.         Accident – A vehicle struck a deer near US Highway 91 and County Line Road. 

Dec 1

12:12 p.m.       A person reported to dispatched they had passed a car stopped in the middle of the road near 1300 North and 900 East.  The driver was not very responsive when the individual checked on her. 

1:31 p.m.         Disorderly Conduct – An individual living in Firth reported her daughter was intoxicated and “being nuts.” She said she wanted her to go to jail. 

3:52 p.m.         Traffic Complaint – A person reported a small school bus on West Center in Firth was swerving onto the road’s right side and almost hitting mailboxes. 

Dec 2

3:34 p.m.         Request Assistance – An anonymous female called dispatch reporting a female in Firth was a danger to herself and others. 

5:20 p.m.         Suspicious Circumstance – A person reported driving up to their home on 900 East, east of Shelley, and seeing a white jeep back out of his driveway.  He believed the individual was eyeing packages that were on his doorstep.  The jeep drive was a white male wearing a stocking cap. 

10:58 p.m.       A woman in Firth called dispatch, saying her daughter hit her and ran.  She said she is under the influence.
