Man held on $1 million bond charged with kidnapping

BINGHAM COUNTY — Sheriff deputies arrested a man accused of kidnapping, stalking and felony domestic battery

Just before 11 a.m. Thursday, the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call for a kidnapping outside of Blackfoot. Deputies responded to the call and arrested 42-year-old George Carl Capson of Pocatello.

Bingham County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jeff Gardner said Capson was booked into the Bingham County Jail on a $1 million bond.

According to a news release from the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office, Capson is facing charges of first-degree stalking, second-degree kidnapping, felony domestic battery, violating a civil protection order and burglary.
