The Shelley Police Log: Dec. 24-30
The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services.  Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. These statements below materially represent the information in each report with only grammatical changes for flow and clarity.  The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between Dec.24 through the morning of Dec 30.
Dec 24
8:11 p.m. A missing person was reported.
8:14 p.m. Civil Standby – A woman requested an officer standby as she and her ex-husband exchange gifts. No protective order was in place.
Dec 25
11:31 p.m. Officer made a standby at the apartments on W. Maple.
1:44 p.m. A caller reported his ex-wife was supposed to drop off his daughter at 2 p.m. at a specific location as outlined in their divorce decree but was now refusing to do so. He would like to talk to an officer.
4:26 p.m. Traffic Complaint – A caller reported a brown Buick LeSabre was all over the road coming south into Shelley on US Highway 91.
11:07 p.m. Civil Complaint – An individual called complaining two people were trespassing at his mother’s home. One was allowed to stay there unless he started using drugs again, and the caller stated he was using drugs. The second individual was not given permission to stay there—however, they were both leaving the residence.
Dec 26
2:14 a.m. Animal Complaint – A person on W. Maple reported a dog was left in a cold Ford Ranger pickup, and they are concerned about the dog’s welfare. They would like to be contacted.
Dec. 27
8:24 a.m. Property Damage – A person on W. Pine called to complain someone scratched her vehicle while plowing the sidewalk. Their vehicle was parked on the street in front of their home.
10:45 a.m. Traffic Complaint – A person called from Shelley High School reporting someone was driving recklessly in the parking lot.
7:51 p.m. Threat-Harassment – A person living on E. Oak called to report two people were trespassing and threatening to kill them. The caller said the two individuals are no longer there and haven’t been there since Christmas, but one of the persons was texting her, stating he wanted to kill her.
Dec. 28
1:49 p.m. Traffic Complaint – A caller wanted to report a male driver with a mustache was driving erratically in an older blue sedan near Broulim’s.
11:00 p.m. Disturb the Peace – A caller near Shelley High School reported a 2-door passenger vehicle in the parking lot making a lot of noise and spinner cookies.
Dec. 29
9:31 a.m. Petit-Theft – A individual was caught stealing packages on Holley Street.
9:40 a.m. Welfare Check – A caller requested a welfare check on a person whose father had called him, stating the individual had requested his dad buy a gun and shoot him.
12:31 p.m. Petit-Theft – A person on W. Maple reported some stole a package from them.
7:28 p.m. Fraud – A caller on S. Park wanted to speak to an offer about being scammed.
11:58 p.m. Accident – A caller on W. Fir reported the driver of a red Hyundai just slid off the road into a brown Dodge truck that was parked in his driveway.
Dec. 30
9:40 a.m. Property Damage – Some hit Parks & Rec. Director’s vehicle while it was parked in the back parking lot of city hall.
