Community Pioneer is looking for comic strip artists

SHELLEY — Do you love to draw? Do you have your own original characters? More importantly, could you use a $20 gift card? If so, send your best comics to mike@communitypioneer.com for a chance to be published in the Community Pioneer print edition. If your comic is selected, you will also win a $20 Visa gift card.

All ages are welcome, and if you happen to be in Daniel Borup’s art class at Shelley High School, there is a chance you may receive extra credit simply for submitting your work.

The Rules:

  • The comic must be your own original artwork.
  • Please keep comics lighthearted and family-friendly.
  • Please avoid political commentary.
  • Strips must be able to scale down to a width of 9.5 inches and a height of 2.5 inches.
  • Panels (think Family Circus) must be able to scale down to a height of 2.5 inches and a width of 2.5 inches.
  • Comics must be sent as a high-resolution PDF to mike@communitypioneer.com.
  • Include your name, phone number, address and a brief description of your comic.
  • Please make sure your text is large and easily read.

This contest is not limited to just one winner. All are welcome to enter. Please submit your work by Monday, March 22.
