Shots fired in Shelley neighborhood
SHELLEY – A juvenile has been taken into custody after allegedly firing two shots into the air during a family dispute at a home on Bluebird Lane in Shelley.
Shelley police and Bingham County deputies are investigating an alleged shooting at a residence on Bluebird Lane in Shelley around 4 p.m. Sunday. A juvenile suspect was found several blocks away in a parked vehicle with family members, where he was taken into custody without incident.
“A juvenile allegedly shot a gun into the air during a family dispute,†Shelley Police Department Sgt. Robert Tincher said. “Then, he ran from the scene.â€Â
Tincher said no one was injured in the incident.
Multiple officers and deputies from the Shelley Police Department and Bingham County Sheriff’s office descended on the neighborhood as the incident unfolded.
An individual in the neighborhood, who wished to remain anonymous, told Community Pioneer he heard two shots fired from what he believed sounded like a .22 caliber gun.Â
