Bingham County Sheriff’s Log: June 16-29

This log is only a partial report of all incidences reported to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office. It contains only those incidences that occur in northern Bingham County. The Sheriff’s Office handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying police, fire, and medical services in this area. Names and specific addresses have been omitted. The following is a list of most of the incidents reported and responded to by Bingham County Deputies between June 16 through June 26.

June 16

  • 5:37 a.m. Reuqest Assistance — 1400 N, Shelley — RP Reuqesting to speak to a deputy in regards to his guns being tampered with. RP Advised him and his wife (name removed) are going through a separation and trying to sell their house. (Name removed) and the RP’s son in law (name removed) and wife (name removed) took all of the RP’s guns out of the house. RP requested for them back and received them all yesterday. However he feels they intentionally tampered with one of the shotguns.
  • 8:09 a.m. Animal Complaint, — 1400 N, Shelley — RP states she left her male Great Prianses out yesterday mornign at 9 a.m. and he has not returned. He was wearing a leather harness, but no tags.
  • 8:57 a.m. Request Assistance — Firth River Bottoms — RP states that there is a camper (license plate number removed) with a tan Saturn SUV that has been there over a week. RP would like them to be asked to move on. RP onscene in a white FOrd pickup with utility box in the back.
  • 12:50 p.m. Animal Complaint — Highway 91, Shelley — RP states taht there is a Chocolate Lab that is running loose in the area. RP is concerned it wil get hit. No collar.
  • 5:40 p.m. Firearm Violation — 900 N, Shelley — RP’s goats got out of their pasture and saw them across the street at the (name removed) residence, and when the goats came back to the RP’s property (name removed) shot at them. Occured 5 ago. (name removed) possibly at (address removed).

June 17

  • 12:18 p.m. Animal Complaint –700 N, Firth — RP states that there is a dog that is loose in the area of the RP’s home. Chasing his cats. Will be a brown bird dog type, wearing a faded light tan collar with tags. RP detained the dog in tha garage.
  • 6:16 a.m. Information — Simplot — Wil lbe unloading 2 rail cars wit hhazardous material, will call when complete.
  • 1:46 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — 1275 N, Shelley — RP states that there is a motorhome that has been camping in the area for the last few months. Unknown names on the supsects. Will be an olde white and faded motorhome, one side has a yellow strip.
  • 6:42 p.m. Request Assistance — 1000 N, Firth — RP had some metal that someone had given them for free 3 months ago, those individuals then just came to the RP’s house when no one was home and took the metal back and now claiming that they want 8500 for it. RP’s newphew stated the door was when he got home. The nephew saw them and stated they looked sketch. RP is concerned they will come back.
  • 7:24 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1210 N, Shelley — RP just got home from camping and is missing a black lab. Not wearing a collar.

June 18

  • 12:46 p.m. Civil Complaint — 850 E, Basalt — RP stating (name removed) is stating he stole stuff from her. RP disconnected the phone.
  • 1:42 p.m. Water on Road — 1200 E, Shelley — RP stating (name removed) continues to water the road. Currently watering the road.
  • 8:11 p.m. Reckless Driver — Firth River Bottoms — RP sttes he is being harassed by a male subect driving a blue 4 door RVR white male sunglasses bald head 140 pounds. Would like to meet an officer at the trail head.

June 19

  • 4:03 a.m. Public Assist — 800 E, Firth — RP has fallen, is not injured she is in the living room.
  • 11:14 a.m. Accident — 1250 N, Shelley — Gray van went into the ditch
  • 1:09 p.m. Welfare Check — 1100 N, Shelley — (Name removed) is being abused by (name removed). There is alos a baby in the residence that is being abused
  • 1:40 p.m. Information — 1000 N, Shelley — Aluminum cycling tubes were taken from the property some time in the last couple weeks.
  • 5:29 p.m. Hazard — Interstate 15, Firth — RP says there is a ladder in the fast lane.
  • 10:32 p.m. Accident — Wolverine area Firth — Out of Wolverine saw where someone hit a sign took it out transmission fluid was leaking, followed vehicled located (licensense plate number removed) white Toyota Sequoia. They coninued and located the driver who admitted to have been drkinging and they gave him a ride home in Iaho Follow. Don’t believe the vehicle belongs to him possibly his mothers boyfriends vehicle went back and forth about whose vehicle it was. They did not get his name.
  • 11:22 p.m. Welfare Check — Narrows, Wolverine Area Firth — Possible large party at the Narrows.

June 20

  • 1:26 a.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91, Firth — Left Shelley heading SB to Firth and there is a black SUV with Ohio PLates all over the road.
  • 9:08 a.m. Civil Complaint — 1425 N, Shelley — RP states that he put a deposit down on a generator, but the seller is now not responding to him. Suspect will be (name removed). Lives in Idaho Falls.
  • 11:55 a.m. Hazard — 1300 N, Shelley — RP states that there is a Maroon PC, 4 door, that is sticking out into the roadway approx 1-2 feet.
  • 12:45 p.m. Disturbing the Peace — Roosevelt St, Firth — RP states that the neighbor’s are enticing his father to fight. Father (name removed).
  • 4:36 p.m. Animal Complaint — North Bingham County Park — Saint Bernard dog that his been wandering around all day, unknown owner. Requesting it be picked up
  • 6:10 p.m. Civil Complaint — Out of County — RP requesting to speak to a deputy in regards to (name removed) refusing to bring their daughter to him. RP advised per their custody order tey agree to meet to pick the child up. They were supposed to meet at the Mercantile store in Fort Hall. RP is enrout to the court house in a tan Toyoto Sienna. ETA 5 mins.
  • 7:43 p.m. Information — 825 N, Basalt — RP requesting to speak to a deputy in regards to possibly catching her sister (name removed) doing drugs in ehr bathroom.
  • 7:49 p.m. Request Assistance — Highway 91, Shelley — RP requesting a deputy respond due to her husband (name removed) acting out of character and arguing with her. RP pulled off the right side of the road in a Chevy truck. RP advised he was throwing items. There are kids in the vehicle.
  • 9:19 p.m. Grand Theft — Interstate 15, Firth — Stolen Black 2013 Ford single cab TK.
  • 9:50 p.m. Fireworks Complaint — 575 E, Firth — People are lighting off fireworks.

June 21

  • 12:57 a.m. Request Assistance — 1350 E, Shelley — RP is receiving threatening messages from a female.
  • 11:10 a.m. Animal Complaint — 1200 N, Shelley — RP states that her neighbor’s dog got out and killed another dog. Suspects live in (address removed) unknown names. The aggresssive dog is now secured back home. RP would like to meeti with an officer.
  • 11:12 a.m. Fraud — Out of County — RP states taht her mother (name removed) created a Powerball under the RP’s name without her permission. RP states that she called her local law enforcement and she was advised to call us as the crime occured in Idaho. RP would like to speak with an officer.
  • 4:11 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91, Fith — Pick up pulling trailer northbound. With no plate and no lights. White GMC Truck. RP almost rear ended ther trailer beacuse it had no lights. RP willing to sign. RP folling in blud 2021 Nissan Versa.
  • 5:52 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1100 E, Shelley — Mising his Yellow Lab, male, name is Booker, blue collar, no chip.
  • 7:19 p.m. Accident — 1300 N, Shelley — QRU to location. 2 vehicle accident, possible injuries, black car and silver car.
  • 11:01 p.m. Agency Assist — 1100 N, Shelley — Checking on a one month old baby in possible abuse situation. RP driving a gray Dodg Journey ETA 8 min.

June 22

  • 10:32 a.m. Agency Assist — 1100 N, Shelley — Meet RP at Broulims will be in a silver State PC at 11:30
  • 12:31 p.m. Grand Theft — 600 N, Firth — RP had his coleman pop up camper at his friends (name removed) house, stated it was stolen approximately in December or January. RP states he has seen it in Idaho Falls at the Shady RV Park on N Yellowstone Highway. RP does not know the license or vin on it.
  • 1:05 p.m. Civil Complaint — 700 N, Firth — Next door neighbor has build a lean to on his side of the fence. The RP states it is her fence and is on her property. (Name removed) is the neighbor.
  • 1:10 p.m. Civil Complaint — 715 E, Shelley — Tenants left behind a camper and motor home, and a single wide trailer house. WOuld like to konw how to get rid of it.
  • 1:37 p.m. Information — Highway 91, Fith — RP states a Black Diamond Paving dump truck that pssed the RP and blue bunch of gravel n the RP’s vehicle, broke his windshiel completely across of it. RP is stopped with him just north of this location. RP is in a white GMC Acadia.
  • 7:22 p.m. Agency Assist — 1100 N, Shelley — RP with CPS, meeting with the mother at location reference a follow up on a CPS referal. RP driving a silver Ford Escape and will be there at 8 p.m. Will call when she is close.
  • 7:36 p.m. Abandoned Vehicle — Hard Times, Firth — Blue Dodge Neon abandoned in front of the store. (License plate number removed) has been there fro approx 4 1/2 hours now. Keys were left in the ignition.

June 23

  • 4:22 p.m. Animal Complaint — Bingham County — RP states that the ACO left him with traps earlier today. RP enroute to the shelter to drop of some cat. ETA 15 min in a silver GMC truck.
  • 5:04 p.m Request Assistance — Interstate 15, Shelley — Silver possibly delivery van van with UT plates, male driver aprrox 35 years old, that almost hit the RP’s bumper, then when he passed the RP. Pulled something silver out and pointed it at the RP. RP is no longer following.
  • 7:30 p.m. Residence Burglary — 800 N, Basalt — RP said his garage was broken into sometime today and several items have been taken from the garage.
  • 10:42 p.m. Prowler — 1000 E, Shelley — RP has a camera nd there is one person on his property.

June 24

  • 2:54 a.m. Information — 900 E, Shelley — Sister having chest pains 210/108 is being taking to ERIMC (name removed) 2019 blue Subaru Outback ETA 20 min 57 year old female (name removed). No history.
  • 6:45 a.m. Agency Assist — Bingham County — Received a call from Amazon stating there was fraudulent activity on her amazon account. RP called and gave them her personal information.
  • 10:34 a.m. Malicious Injury — Sellars Creek Rd, Shelley — RP states someone went into his property in a Jeep and tore up property. Unknown suspect. RP has a game camera that has pictures of the Jeep.
  • 11:19 a.m. Request Assistance — 1600 N Shelley — RP states someone directly behind the RP to south side of him that has been shooting his gun, can hear the ricoshet and believes he is shooting in an unsafe manner and is too close to the RP. RP would like contacted after at his house.
  • 11:26 a.m. 911 Hangup — Topas Dr, Shelley — Open line, can hear noise and wind in the background. Neg TTY. Can hear people tlking, nothing to indicate an emergency.
  • 4:24 p.m. Agency Assist — Interstate 15, Firth — RP out with an accident. No injuries. Airbags did depoy. Vehicle is a white Chevy TK. Semi also involved.
  • 5:39 p.m. Animal Complaint — 900 N, Shelley — RP says her white pitbull just bit a juvenile female.

June 25

  • 9:22 a.m. Wanted Subject — Firth River Bottoms — RP was told by (name removed) mother that he is camping by the river. Also with his girlfriend (name removed). RP standing by at Firth Middle School for contact. RP in a 2013 black Ford Taurus.
  • 1:02 p.m. Request Assistance — 1200 E, Shelley — Female with personal items camping on his property. Was asked to leave but she refused. White femaile black hair, tank top, shorts. Pull into driveway and shes in the group of trees to the right.
  • 5:02 p.m. Welfare Check — 1550 N, Shelley — Have been trying to step sister (name removed) for tend days, no answer. Request officer check on her and then have her call RP if contacted If not contacted RP would like call from deputy.
  • 10:17 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91, Shelley — Vehicle unable to maintain its lane. Vehicle is a maroon Ford F150 (license plate number removed) vehicle will be going SB on highway 91.
  • 10:57 p.m. Shots Fired — Hanson Ave, Shelley — Heard several shots fired in the area of South of Oak on Hanson multiple.

June 26

  • 9:19 a.m. Civil Complaint — 1250 N, Shelley — Neighbors are fighting about a fence line. Verbally arguing. No weapons. No alcohol.
  • 2:58 p.m. Request Asistance — Franklin Ave, Firth — RP states that her neighbor across the street was screaming at her for mowing her lawn. Neighbor unknown name. THey live across the street. RP would like tobe contacted.
  • 9:42 p.m. Joyriding — 1350 E, Shelley — RP sais his friend (name removed) came to his residence last night. RP believes he is an escapee from a Western Idaho prison. (name removed) just stole his blue 1993 Geo Prism about 30 mins ago. RP says he also left a suicidal note.

June 27

  • 9:35 a.m. Water on Road — 800 E, Shelley — Pivot line sprinkler spryaing onto the road causing a hazard, coming from the West side of the road.
  • 11:12 a.m. Harassment — Firth Riverbottoms — RP states (name removed) came to her tent at the fiver bottoms last night, waited for the RP’s husband to leave and possibly was tyring to get into the RP’s tend and made the RP uncomfortable. Has been in trouble with the RP’s husbands work at Family Dollar recently.
  • 11:45 a.m. Agency Assist — W Oak St, Shelley — Requesting a unit to respons to the above location for a welfare check on the child. Will be the (name removed) resience. RP’s ETA 30-40 minutes in a silver Nissan Pathfinder.
  • 7:46 p.m. Information — 1430 N, Shelley — RP is calling from the Urgent Care in Idaho Falls (name removed) was bitten by a friends dog.

June 28

  • 7:40 a.m. Suspicious Circumstanstance — Firth River Bottoms — RP states that there is a camper and a Brown Buick (license plate number removed), that is in the river bottoms. Has been there for approx a few weeks.
  • 2:05 p.m. Animal Complaint — Highway 91, Firth — RP states that there are 2 red yearling steers out on the highway. Unknown owner.
  • 4:14 p.m. Information — 1100 E, Shelley — RP stating (name removed) is at the residence and there is a protection order in place. RP is currently at work. Protection states he is not supposed to be there.
  • 5:01 p.m. Battery on an Officer — 1100 E, Shelley — RP stating his mother (name removed) is tyring to kill his eggs.
  • 7:44 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91, Fith — White motorcycle going 100 miles an hour male driver with dark shirt and dark helmet. In and out of traffic.

June 29

  • 8:53 a.m. Abandoned Vehicle — North Bingham County Park — Reporting a red Chevy TK (license plate number removed) with a boat in the bed has been parked at the same location for over a week. Stated the truck is location across from the park near the boat dock and turn out where people go to ice fish in the winter RP does not wish to be contact is just concerened.
  • 10:03 a.m. Animal Complaint — Wolverine Area, Firth — In Wolverine walking this morning came across a small mini pin that had been shot in the head. RP would like to speak with ACO.
  • 11:22 a.m. Animal Complaint — 1300 N, Shelley — There are a lot of cats that have been abandoned and new litters coming up. RP needs cat traps.
  • 3:06 p.m. Animal Complaint — 400 N, Firth — 30 cows in the yard and the neighbors driveway. Possible owner (name removed).
  • 4:43 p.m. Animal Complaint — 900 N, Shelley — Report of barking dogs at the neighbors. Contact RP at her home.
  • 6:44 p.m. Animal Complaint — 675 E, Basalt — RP states that the dog at the above adress keeps coming into her yard. Owners are last of (name removed). DOg is not currently in her yard.
  • 7:24 p.m. Animal Complaint — Highway 91, Firth — On Highway 91 there is a donkey running towards the railroad tracks.
