Shelley Police Log: June 16-30

The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between June 16 through June 30. 

June 16

  • 10:15 a.m. Parking Complaint — Reporting Party on S Milton states that during swim lesson times there are vehicles that continually park in his driveway. His driveway is currently partly blocked. Reporting Party also requesting an extra patrol for the summer.
  • 8:48 p.m. Threats/Harassment — Reporting Party on State Street has an employee that has been hostile, screaming and yelling at the RP, he is not currently there, states he would be back at 8 a.m. tomorrow to tell the RP off. RP would like to have him trespassed.

June 17

  • 7:42 a.m. Civil Standby — State Street — Reporting Party states they are going to let go of an employee. Stated he is disgruntled and they would just like an officer to keep the peace.
  • 1:42 p.m. Request Assistance — State Street — Truck with boat hitch to it going left, his boat came off his truck and like into construction site.
  • 2:19 p.m. Traffic Complaint — West Fir — Reporting Party stated the UPS is driving too fast through the parking lot RP would like to have him talked to about his speed.
  • 5:41 p.m. Request Assistance — Topas Dr — Reporting Party is wanting to set up his archery next to his residence in an empty field.
  • 8:42 p.m. Unwanted Subject — Berrett Ave — Reporting Party’s ex-wife is at his residence and is refusing to leave

June 18

  • 8:44 am. Animal Complaint — W Oak St — Reporting Party stating there are two medium red/brown sized dogs ITA. Attempted to bite the RP’s ankles. Wearing Collars
  • 9:46 a.m. Malicious Injury — W Oak St — Reporting Party state his wife’s brother and another individual broke things in his house. Occured two days ago. Language Barrier
  • 1:35 p.m. Harassment — Holmes Ave — Male subject harassing her via phone.
  • 7:41 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91 –Black Ford swerving on the roadway.

June 19

  • 3:41 p.m. Petit Theft — Holmes Ave — Reporting Partying stating someone stole a 6′ Seattle Seahawks flag. Younger males driving a red truck.
  • 5:19 p.m. Request Assistance — Reporting Party is requesting an officer call him regarding questions he has on his rights while moving out of his home.
  • 6:39 p.m. Structure Fire – S Milton — Believes neighbor’s house is on fire.
  • 8:32 p.m. Animal Complaint — Spruce St — Reporting Party states there are two large dogs running loose on her property. RP states on of the dogs is black and one is orange. RP would like to be contacted.
  • 10:16 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — W Oak St — Near Oak St there was an explosion hear in the area, coming from the east.

June 20

  • 2:33 a.m. Traffic Complaint — Intoxicated driver leaving Loves taking back road in bronze Chevy Malibu. Driver did not obtain license number. Only the driver in the vehicle. Reporting Party is not following and has no further
  • 6:33 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91 — Reporting Party reporting that a black truck was speeding past vehicles in the construction. RP is a ways behind the vehicle. Willing to sign a citation.

June 21

  • 8:49 a.m. Parking Complaint — Holley St — Reporting Party states that his neighbor has parked their black GMC SUV blocking most of the RP’s Driveway
  • 1:19 p.m. Animal Complaint — E Oak St — Reporting Party states that they are missing a smaller breed white dog, female. Unknown further.
  • 2:55 p.m. Animal Complaint — S Emmerson — Missing her male pit bull, brindle colored, 120 lbs. jumped out of the back of her friends vehicle as she was driving through Shelley. Dog is chipped.

June 22

  • 1:44 a.m. Request Assistance — W Oak St — Reporting Party requesting assistance from an officer. Spanish Speaking. Advised his wife and two brothers came and took the stuff out of the house and left him.
  • 11:29 a.m. Civil Complaint — W Oak St — Reporting Party’s wife took his children, possibly only 2. A 16 year old male a 2 year old female, as well as clothes and credit cards. Does not know where they went, unknown vehicle. Occurred last night.
  • 2:14 p.m. Animal Complaint — Shelley Veterinary Hospital — Reporting Party en route in a blue Pontiac Grand Prix, ETA 30 minutes to drop off a maltese dog.
  • 6:22 p.m. Welfare Check — Byron Ave — Reporting Party needing a welfare check on her aunt. States they haven’t heard from her for about three months. RP is unsure if this is her exact address. RP would like contacted after.
  • 9:34 p.m. Information — W Maple — Reporting Party requesting to speak to officers in regards to someone possibly selling drugs in the apartment complex.
  • 9:43 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — W Maple — Reporting Party advised someone tried to remove the screen from his living room window. Noticed this earlier today. WOuld like to speak with officer about it.
  • 10:10 p.m. Harassment Phone — S Emerson — Reporting Party is receiving harassing text massage from an unknown number. RP believes it could be (name removed) trying to cause problems with the RP and her boyfriend. Requesting to speak to an officer.

June 23

  • 1:30 a.m. Harassment — Fir St — Reporting Party requesting officers to make contact with the upstairs neighbor (name removed). RP advised that she keeps coming down to her apartment and trying to get in. RP had her doors locked and somehow the female has a key and stated she was given the key. RP is wanting her to stop.
  • 2:18 a.m. Agency Assist — W Pine St — IFPD request us to make contact with (name removed). His white ’12 Chevy Silver was involved in a hit and run accident and the driver fled the scene on foot. Requesting to check the residence and make contact with him to see if he knows where his vehicle is or who had it.
  • 2:28 a.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Hummingbird Ln — Suspicious vehicle in front of his residence. Dark Blue Sedan. Vehicle is occupied and running. Vehicle left west bound.
  • 7:38 a.m. Wanted Subject — E Center St — Reporting Party states his ex girlfriend (name removed) has stolen his times and is threatening to sell them. RP requesting a civil stand by to retrieve his items. RP en route back to the residence ETA 45.
  • 6:03 p.m. Request Assistance — S Emerson Ave — Reporting Party is at the Shelley Police Department wanting to give his report to an officer.
  • 7:36 p.m. Harassment — W Fir St — Reporting Party is being threatened by her neighbor (name removed). RP wants to speak with an officer.

June 24

  • 1:01 a.m. Duplicate — W Fir St — Reporting Party said the neighbor (name removed) downstairs from her has been trying to get into her apartment and has been walking up and down the stairs and appears to be confused. RP is worried about her.
  • 8:17 a.m. Information — N Main St & W Central Ave, Aberdeen — Reporting Party stated that he had been informed he had won a senior citizens sweepstakes giveaway for $2.5 million. RP reported that he had been asked to give $22,000. Believed to be fraud.
  • 10:48 a.m. Information — Subway — Taco truck in the parking lot. possibly stating burglary and malicious injury.
  • 10:55 a.m. 911 hangup — Toaps Dr — Child playing on the phone, nothing to indicate an emergency.
  • 3:30 p.m. Agency Assist — Hummingbird Pl — Locate a (name removed) Red 2014 Ford involved in a hit and run. Officer requesting a picture of her and vehicle. Also have her give him a call.
  • 5:21 p.m. Petit Theft — Family Dollar — (Name removed) shoplifting approximately less than 5 ago. Short, tattoos, was missing a tooth. Was in a vehicle, possibly an tan Oldsmobile PC with a rock hole in the rear passenger door. Unkown direction of travel, possibly northbound past Broulims. Did not get away with any items.
  • 7:06 p.m. Threats/Firearm — W Maple St — Reporting Party states her upstairs neighbor (name removed) is angry and threatening the RP, because she is reporting his dog off leash to the landlord. He stated if she doesn’t stop “she’s going to get it.” RP states he does have a gun. Last occurred 5 ago.
  • 10:12 p.m. Disturbing the Peace — W Fir St — Female who resides upstairs has been coming downstairs and disturbing her and is currently outside yelling. Reporting Party would like to be contacted.

June 25

  • 4:21 p.m. Welfare Check — E Center St — Female with dark hair, tank top, jeans. Was lying on the ground in the grass. Was still there when Reporting Party drove by.
  • 6:45 p.m. Welfare Check — S Park Ave — Reporting Party states there is an odor coming from the neighbors residence. RP is concerned something has died.
  • 7:34 p.m. Animal Complaint — Broulim’s — Reporting Party states there is a car parked in the parking lot and there is a red four door PC with two dogs inside panting. No owners around. Vehicle is parked near the pharmacy door in the 3rd space, unknown row.

June 26

  • 11:16 p.m. Burglary — N State St — Reporting Party is requesting to speak with an officer regarding damage to his taco truck.
  • 11:30 p.m. Welfare Check — W Maple St — Reporting Party is requesting a welfare check on his son. RP would like to be contacted by the officer that repsonds.
  • 7:46 p.m. Hazard — N State St & E Fir St — Reporting Party states there is glass all over the intersection causing a hazard.

June 27

  • 9 p.m. Fireworks Complaint — Opal Ct — Reporting Party reporting that there are people shooting off aerial fireworks at the end of the street. RP is requesting they be spoken to.

June 28

  • 12:03 p.m. Vehicle Burglary — Exxon — Reporting Party States that she had some items taken from her vehicle while she was parked at the above location last night. Vehicle is a maroon 2014 Ford Fusion. Vehicle was left unlocked. RP is at the above location to meet with an officer.
  • 10 p.m. Fireworks Complaint — W Oak St — Reporting Party reporting the neighbors are shooting off aerial fireworks again. This has been an ongoing issue. RP is wanting to sign a citation.

June 29

  • 12:14 p.m. Animal Complaint — S Milton Ave — Stray dog that has been hanging out by the pool near the entrance. Border Collie no collar will keep the dog detained.
  • 5:17 p.m. Eluding — Highway 91 — White PC Car with damage to the back bumper. Also painted gray. That has been swerving in and out of vehicle. Also close to hitting on coming traffic.
  • 5:42 p.m. Grand Theft — S Park Ave — Stated his camper was at a friends house and the friend sold it.
  • 6 p.m. Threats/Harassment — W Maple St — Reporting Party stating someone swerved his dark blue Bronco towards him while he was walking his dog.
  • 6:58 p.m. Threats/Harassment — S Holmes Ave — Reporting Party stating someone is threatening to put pictures of her daughter on the internet.
  • 7:01 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Hobbs Middle School — Reporting Party stating a white Honda Civic sped past her. RP is no longer following. Unknown license plate. Heading towards Taylor Park.
  • 7:16 p.m. Animal Complaint — W Oak St — Reporting Party located a Chihuaha mix with a collar that says it lives at (number removed) W Oak St. RP has the dog detained. RP is unable to locate the address, and negative contact with the owners phone number. Would like it picked up.

June 30

  • 8:39 a.m. Civil Complaint — S Holmes Ave — Stolen vehicle Pontiac Grand Prix last seen at 2 a.m. state her son took the vehicle and has not returned it 3:28 a.m. received text stating he was heading back home and so far has not returned.
