Shelley Police Log: July 28 – Aug. 4
The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between July 28 – Aug. 8.
July 28
2:21 a.m. Flood Incident — W Maple St. — Reporting water that is coming from somewhere that is flooding the whole area – RP advised that she thinks her car may float away.
10:34 p.m. Mental Health Issues — W Fir St. Female neighbor outside shooting out the neighbor’s windows.
11:57 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Golden Valley Natural — Stated there is black small suv the vehicle is not supposed to be in the parking lot – no one inside the vehicle stated they are sitting on the grass – RP would like the vehicle checked.
July 29
8:48 a.m. Accident — Broulim’s — Two vehicle accident involving a Ford Focus and Red PC, no injuries no blockage.
9:49 a.m. Information — Eaton Body Shop & Towing — Found narcotics in a vehicle that has been impounded and turned over for disposal.
1:39 p.m. Assault — Unfounded — W Fir St. — Female outside her house that is stating she is going to kill the RP with knife.
2:09 p.m. Missing Person — Berrett Ave — RP stated that her juvenile stepson walked from her residence to his mother’s residence on N Emerson for her court visitation. He has since left the mother’s residence and she has been unable to locate him.
2:32 p.m. Traffic Complaint — N State St & E Center St — Gray Audi that has been weaving in the lane of travel since or constant speed since Idaho Falls. Vehicle is currently behind the RP.
2:36 p.m. Mental Health Issues — Unfounded — W Fir St — (Name removed) unknown last, stabbing a small child outside.
2:40 p.m. Information — Shelley Veterinary Hospital — Issues with a previous client and she continues to harass the staff at the business. Suspect is (name removed) and is not on the property.
11:29 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Hummingbird Cir. — 2 Subject wearing black hoodies came up the driveway rang their doorbell and ran off. Were seen running toward hummingbird.
July 30
6:40 p.m. Animal Complaint — S Park Ave & Birch St — RP says there are two dogs running loose. One is a husky and one is a black lab.
7:14 p.m. Abandoned Vehicle — Cardinal Dr. — RV Parked at the end of the Cardinal, believes the owner to be a (name removed). Stated the window broke out and juveniles were seen inside it this last weekend and a smaller child crawling up the ladder and then on the top of it. RP stated the RV has been there for over a year and is now becoming a danger to the children in the area.
8:26 p.m. Animal Complaint — Spruce St. — RP is missing a brown and white husky and black pitbull mix. Not wearing collrs. RP would like to report that someone has let her dogs out and took the pin out of her fence, and caused damage to it.
July 31
12:35 p.m. Request Assistance — N Byron Ave. — There is a Toyota black car that is stuck in a sink hole in front of RP’s residence.
4:17 p.m. Trespass — Basic American Food — An ex employe (name removed) was in the parking lot He sounded mentally disturbed laughing and crying. RP is concerned for the safety of the employees. He drives a silver Chevy Equinox. He is not supposed to be on the property.
Aug. 1
2:31 a.m. Disturb the Peace — W Locust St. — RP requesting officers make contact with the neighbors and tell them to quiet down. This is an ongoing issue however the RP does not want to be contacted.
12:26 p.m. Information — W Fir St — RP states her heart and thyroid medications were stolen a couple of days ago. RP believes it was (name removed) that lives above the RP in (apt. number removed) who told the RP that she took them and threw them down the toilet. RP is at the PD in a blue Ford Aerostar van.
2:18 p.m. Traffic Complaint — E Locust St. & N State St. — Gray Ford SUV with roof rack vehicle swerving all over the roadway now passing Exxon. RP no longer following.
Aug. 2
2:33 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Dark blue Nissan Versa (license plate number removed) South Bound and unable to maintain lane of travel.
5:17 p.m. Mental Health Issues — East Idaho Credit Union — RP states he has incriminating evidence and needs to speak to the FBI. Cannot say over the phone cause he states they’re listening. RP states there are 2 males outside following him around outside now.
Aug. 3
12:00 a.m. — Suspicious Circumstance — W Maple St — Bonneville turned over cal – RP would just like the area checked on. RP can hear things that are concerning here.
Aug. 4
2:53 p.m. Accident — S Byron Ave & W Elm St. — Gray CHRSY 300 and White Ram Truck no injuries no BLF.
3:09 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Carnoustie Apartments — Suspicious male on the playground.
3:17 p.m. Insufficient Funds — Eaton Body Shop & Towing — Request to meet an officer regarding a bad check that was passed by Southern Tire Mart out of Texas.
3:58 p.m. Civil Stand-By — W Center St. — They deliver bottled water, new account and delivered to the wrong residence. She is going to keep his water and informed him not to return and that she was going to keep the water.
4:17 p.m. Welfare Check — E Maple St. — Employee missed for work several days, (name removed). Unlike her. No call no show for two days.
6:24 p.m. Animal Complaint — S Park Ave. — Loose dog on S Park, believes it is a black lab and looks like she has just recently had pups. Last seen heading east toward the cemetery.
