Shelley Polic Log: Sept. 9-21
The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between Sept. 9-21.
Sept 9
4:22 p.m. Grand Theft — Ruby Cir — RP states his Smith & Wesson Revolver 38 Special is missing. Last saw it on the beginning of August. Belongs to his wife (name removed).
4:33 p.m. Traffic Complaint — City of Shelley — RP states there is a belly Drump truck trailer that spilled gravel on the RP’s truck and damaged his windshield. RP is on scene in a 1998 light blue/silver Toyota Tacoma. Suspect vehicle is still on scene being loaded.
4:48 p.m. Agency Assist — Opal Ct — (Address removed) they will be removing children. (Name removed) is the mother. Four kids there. RP will be in a silver Chevy Van.
10:46 p.m. Disorderly Conduct — Birch St — RP stated that the son is currently at the residence, (name removed) male that is intoxicated and causing distrubance.
10:52 p.m. Unwanted Subject — W Fir St — Male subject outside the residence and screaming and knocking on the door.
11:35 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Bank of Commerce — Possible DUI in dark colored mini van (license plate number removed).
Sept 10
8:34 p.m. Duplicate — Shelley Police Department — Requesting to meet officer at the PD to pay fees for a Husk mix driving a gray Toyota Sienna.
11:06 p.m. Civil Stand-By — S Emerson Ave — Stand-by for 1200 – Other party (name removed) custodial exchange. No CPO/NCO in effect driving black/Chevy color.
11:21 p.m. Animal Complaint — Ash St — Aggressive dog loose in the area. Dog appears to be a Collie mix brown/black owners are the (name removed and address removed). RP stated the dog is back in the owners yard and the RP spoke with them. The RP stated he was told to call and advise law enforcement when this particular dog is loose. RP did advise that the dog is becoming more aggressive.
1:39 p.m. Animal Complaint — S Milton Ave — Daughter riding bicycle dog came after her and bit her. They have been unable to locate the dog. The bit did not break the skin. Dog was Black/White German Shephard/Husky mix. Contact wife (name removed) at number provided.
1:46 p.m. Request Assistance — Shelley City Park — RP states that he is supposed to meet with juveniles as his brother’s PS4 stolen. The subjects then texted the RP that they would be bringing a gun with them. RP will be in a grey Volks Jetta. RP will be there at 2 p.m.
3:52 p.m. Mental Health Issues — Opal Ct — Mother acting insane.
4:16 p.m. Request Assistance — East Idaho Credit Union — Requesting a unit for traffic control.
Sept 11
11:37 a.m. Accident — Juniper Ct — 2 vehicle, non injury, black Cadilac SUV and 98 Honda Accord, partially blocking.
12:24 p.m. Mental Health Issues — W Fir St — RP wants to know how to self admit to State Hospital South. Says she doesn’t feel well, that she is detoxing. Sick Person (Specific Diagnosis) withdrawal symptoms 53-year-old, female, conscious, breathing.
5:42 p.m. Open Door — Shelley High School — Open door.
Sept 12
10:18 a.m. Malicious Injury — S Holmes Ave — Believes passenger side window completely smashed. Occurred sometime after 10 p.m. and now. Truck black/93 Chevy 1500 was parked to the side of his driveway.
2:02 p.m. Traffic Complaint — S Milton Ave — RP stating that there was a gray Nissan 2 door car that was going about 45 mph. Also did a spin out in front of the residence. Continues to go up and down the street.
2:26 p.m. Request Assistance — N State St — RP calling from the Dominos walked from his house and is to be picked up as he feels in danger.
Sept 13
3 p.m. Animal Complaint — W Fir St — Her black short haired male cat with white speckles and a white heart on the belly, red/white/blue collar.
5:31 p.m. Wanted Subject (arrested) — N Stated St & E Pine St — Wanted subject.
9:56 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Shelley High School — RP stating there are 3 vehicles flashing their high beams.
Sept 14
12:50 p.m. Accident — Food Plaza — Parking lot accident, Ford Focus and Chevy Pickup.
3:40 p.m. Missing Person — E Maple St — Daughter left the residence on foot, long dark hair, brown eyes, last seen wearing grey sweatshirt, torn jeans.
6:46 p.m. Controlled Substance – Possession (arrested) –Family Dollar — Older male subject in a white older model truck that appears to be slumped over with the door open of the vehicle. RP did not stop out with him.
9:08 p.m. Runaway — Brent Way — RP stated that her brother left the residence this morning and has failed to return.
9:27 p.m. Request Assistance — Arctic Circle — RP stated that his daughter was not provided the correct amount of change at the business during lunch hour. RP is upset at the way the manager spoke to him when speaking with the business at the close of the day.
11:19 p.m. Animal Complaint — S Milton Ave — Pit Bull mix dog that is aggressive is loose ITA.
Sept 15
1:06 p.m. Traffic Stop — Broulim’s — Out on traffic with a vehicle losing rocks.
1:12 p.m. Parking Complaint — N Park Ave — RP states that, between the church and the RP’s address, there is a grey Honda Civic that has been left there since Sunday. RP states that the vehicle is partly on the property under the trees. RP would like to meet with an officer. No plates on the vehicle.
2:25 p.m. Accident — Kirkham Cir — 2 Vehicle Crash. Injuries. RP bit his lip. No blockage.
3:16 p.m. Missing Person — E Maple St — Juvenile daughter ran away, believes she may have gone to (name removed) residence or O’Reillys where he works.
3:30 p.m. Property Damage — Short Ave — RP is translating for his mother, (name removed). RP states that a neighbor accidentally broke out a window to her vehicle while mowing the lawn. Modesta would like to make a report.
10:15 Information — Ruby Cir — RP stating her daughter’s friend is getting death threats.
Sept 16
2:55 p.m. Animal Complaint — Hidden Treasures — Dog ran into store and is still inside.
Sept 17
2:42 a.m. Welfare Check — S Emerson Ave — RP reporting there is a female walking very close to the road heading southbound towards Blackfoot. Female is wearing a coat. RP is concerned she is going to get hit.
2:11 p.m. Abandoned Vehicle — N Holmes Ave — RP states that there is a black lifted truck. Has tow straps attached to it. Vehicle has been parked there approx 3-4 weeks. Vehicle is not legally parked. There are no license plates on the vehicle. RP requesting it be checked on.
6:59 p.m. Animal Complaint — E Baseline Rd — Large Mastiff dog that has wandered into the yard, hs it detained in the backyard. Has some blood on his neck. Would like it picked up. Unknown owner.
8:24 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Walnut St — White 4 door Ford F25o parked in front RP’s house across the street – male got out and walked both directions and then left west on Walnut toward Hanson with headlights off.
10:05 p.m. Welfare Check — Shelley City Park — RP states his friend (name removed) is setting up a swing for Spud Days in a 2000 GMC silver one ton truck with plywood on it. RP has not been able to reach her since approximately 4 p.m. and she should have been done by now. RP would like contacted via land line.
11:06 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — W Maple St — Unkown color passenger car racing around the complex, stopped on the 350 side near the entrance and turned off it’s taillights and confronted the RP and asked if he had a problem. He is still parked out there.
Sept 18
2:51 p.m. Malicious Injury — W Maple St — 18-year-old son destroyed his house – stated he slashed their tires and broke a tv ad Xbox.
6:05 p.m. Burglary Residence — W Fir St — RP juvenile neighbor came over to her residence and informed the RP that someone broke into her apartment.
8:12 p.m. Welfare Check — Hummingbird Ln — RP stating a guy brought in 3 campers to the storage unit, also has a silver SUV vehicle. Would like his welfare to be checked.
9:13 p.m. Prowler — W Maple St — Someone’s at the front door knocking on the door. Neighbor is (name removed). She called the RP and stated that whoever is knocking on the door won’t leave.
Sept 18
4:39 a.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Opal Ct — RP reporting that they can hear a female screaming somewhere out in the street.
8:43 a.m. Welfare Check — W Maple St — A female yelling at her child.
11:07 a.m. Traffic Complaint — Hard Times II — Gray Pontiac Grand-Am Utah plates – Tail gating people and driving unsafely.
5:20 p.m. Welfare Check — W Pine St — RP stating their son just called bawling and asking him to come get him. Subject stated (name removed) (mother) is intoxicated and won’t stop screaming at him. Last contact with juvenile was less than 5 ago.
5:54 p.m. Welfare Check — W Maple St — RP stating her sister (name removed) is verbally abusive to her 1 1/2 year-old daughter. She is also rough with the child. Sister is partially deaf. Might have to knock hard to get her to answer the door. RP was last able to see the baby round 1 p.m.
Sept 20
2:10 a.m. DUI (arrested) — E Maple St & N Highway 91 — RP stating silver Toyota Tacoma Tenessee license plates (license plate number removed) unable to maintain lanes. Now coming up onto Emerson ad Maple.
Sept 21
9:01 a.m. Accident — Cedar Apartments — Dark blue 2013 Kia and blue Honda.
4:44 p.m. Accident — Golden Valley Natural — In the parking lot. White Toyota SUV vs a white larger GMC. no injuries.
