Shelley Police Log: Sept. 1-8

The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written.  The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between Sept. 1-6.

Sept 1

2:05 p.m. Sexting — Hobbs Middle School —

2:29 p.m. Request Assistance — Eaton Body Shop & Towing — RP’s ex girlfriend (name removed) has a copy of the RP’s title to his gold Lincoln which is currently sitting in Eaton’s Towing. RP states she is not on the Title or registration and he is concerned she is going to try and take the vehicle. RP would like to speak to an officer.

6:49 p.m. Abandoned Vehicle — Topaz Dr — A white van with items inside and a silver pickup (license plate numbers removed) That has been parked on the side of the road for over 6 months. Owner is (name removed).

Sept 2

12:48 p.m. Reckless Driver (Arrested) — N State St & W Oak St — Checked out at this location.

6:41 p.m. Disorderly Conduct — N Emmerson Ave — RP is home with her friend’s dad (name removed) and he is yelling. RP is separated from him but is scared.

8:04 p.m. Battery — Shelley High School — Hands on with 2 students.

8:08 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Out of County — Black Durango unable to maintain lane of travel and constant spead. (license plate number removed).

Sept 3

1:10 a.m. Animal Complaint — Ash St — Second house on the north side of the roadway from S Park has a dog that has been continually barking for the last two hours.

8:21 a.m. Animal Complaint — W Pine St — RP states that he is missing to black labs. One male one female. Wearing chain chokers. Should have city tags.

9:50 a.m. Animal Complaint — Gables of Shelley — RP states that she picked up a brown lab. Male, fixed. Brown collar. RP at the above location in a white Jeep Cherokee.

6:35 p.m. Mental Health Issues — W Fir St — RP can hear several gunshots. RP can not see anything.

Sept 4

6:06 a.m. Animal Complaint — Shelley Ave — Male Chocolate Lab got loose. Knows it is at the shelter.

4:30 p.m. Welfare Check — W Fir St — 2 or 3 year old child outside with older siblings. Parents do drugs and don’t pay any attention to them. Blue shirt, no shoes.

5:04 p.m. Animal Complaint — Ace Hardware — Red Toyota Rav 4 (license plate number removed). There is a dog in the car for 20 minutes with the windows rolled up and not running, dog appears to be overheating.

6:47 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Good to Go — RP was following a white Chevy Impala several times drifting into other lane and almost causing a wreck, going into oncoming traffic several times, male and female occupants. (license plate number removed). Currently stopped at Good to Go.

8:35 p.m. Animal Complaint — W Fir St — RP found a female white Husky with blue eyes, no tags, unknown owner. Would like it picked up.

Sept 5

12:03 p.m. Burglary Vehicle — Hummingbird Ln — RP states that someone has stolen items out of the back of his truck. RP would like to make a report.

12:17 p.m. Property Damage — W Fir St — Kids scratched vehicle with branches.

1:28 p.m. Theft-Petit — S Lincoln Ave — RP states that sometime during the night someone has removed the front license plate on her 1994 Buick Century, (license plate number removed).

9:05 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — W Maple St — Possible male with black and white fluffy coat by the storage units near her apt – 10 minutes ago he came to her door – she can’t see him now.

Sept 6

1:05 p.m. Accident — Broulim’s — RP states a light gray Yukon (license plate number remove) hit the RP head on. No injuries, no airbags. RP is in a dark blue Buick SUV.

2:13 p.m. Civil Stand-by — E Locust St — Request civil standby at location. Due to a possible child custody issue. Says sister (name removed) who is suicidal wants to talk to (name removed) at location about their pending divorce. Will be driving a tan GMC Terrain, coming from Blackfoot area.

3:26 p.m. Traffic Complaint — N Highway 91 — Gold or Silver pick up was driving in the wrong lane, going north bound in south bound lane of 91.

5:40 p.m. Disorderly Conduct — W Maple St — RP stating there is a female who is pounding on an apartment door screaming.

9:20 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — N Holmes Ave — Subject that was witnessed across the street at the apts walking around with a flashlight. He witnessed the subject go around the back of the building and he heard a loud bang. Unknown what occurred. RP requesting the area be checked and can be contacted at his residence if needed.

Sept 7

4:29 p.m. Missing Person — W Pine St — Reporting her sister missing. Stated the sister, (name removed) sent a text to her friend at 1:02 p.m. that said she was walking, upset and sitting near the water.

4:36 p.m. Accident — Broulim’s — White Chevy silver Truck and a red Toyota Camry. Two vehicles no injuries.

7:54 p.m. Civil Complaint — Ruby Cir — RP stated that there is a silver Toyota Pathfinder (license plate number removed) that is parked in her space.

Sept 8

8:06 a.m. Theft-Petit — S Holmes Ave — Canoe stolen from his back yard.

8:57 a.m. Information — N Park Ave — Victim of a scam. Did lose money.

7:43 p.m. Information — Shelley High School — A couple fire crews are going to be out with the bonfire at the high school.

7:44 p.m. Traffic Complaint — N Highway 91 — RP following a tan Buick with Montana plates swerving all over the roadway and into oncoming traffic.

8:12 p.m. Hazard — Subway — RP states there is a traffic cone in the center of Highway 91 just north of Subway.

10:59 p.m. Disturb the Peace — Anytime Fitness — There is loud music coming from the area. RP wants them to quiet down.
