Kenneth (Ken) Rex Walton, age 67, of Idaho Falls Idaho was called home to his Heavenly Father on February 7, 2022.
Kenneth was born August 10, 1954, in Tooele, Utah to Donald and Ardis Walton.

The family moved to Idaho when he was 11 where he learned to love agriculture and animals. As a teen he was active in FFA becoming the president of his Chapter. He was also very active in scouting earning his Eagle Scout Award. He was very proud of his three sons he helped to also earn their Eagles. He was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he was active in many positions until his health limited his activity.

When he graduated from Shelley High School in 1973, he joined the US Army and served honorably. Ken attended Ricks College where he received an Associate Degree in Beef Production Management. Kenneth was president of the Square-Dancing Club and meet his soulmate, Kathryn. Kenneth and Kathryn were married in Shelley, Idaho on June 6, 1981. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Ken was a hard worker and held many different jobs thru out his life. The family always said Kenneth could talk to anyone about anything forever. He always had a story to tell. Whether it had to do with farming, military, politics, history, Church, or family there were many stories. He had strong opinions about most things, but he would listen then tell you a story to illustrate his point.

Ken was a loving husband, a wonderful father, a fantastic grandfather, and a kind human being.

He was proceeded in death by his sister Pamala, and his father Donald.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn, his children from a previous marriage, Athena, Joseph, John, Joshua, his children Seth (Angela), Sarah (Eddie) Gillman, Charlotte, Jessica, David, Samuel (Samantha), Rachel (Deric) Norris, and Deborah. His mother Ardis Walton, sister Susan (Larry) Hansen, brothers James (Tonya) Walton and Brain Walton. 12 Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Idaho Falls North Stake Center, 955 Memorial Drive. The family will receive friends Saturday for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery with military rites. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalder Funeral Home.
