Shelley experiences low water pressure

SHELLEY – The city of Shelley reported Sunday night, February 13, they are experiencing an issue with their water pressure due to some software communication problems.

The city of Shelley is experiencing low water pressure throughout the city.  However, city crews on working on the issue.

“We have a problem with our communication system that maintains water pressure throughout the city,†Public Works Director Justin Johnson said. “We’re asking people if they experience air in their water taps to turn them on full and allow the air to work its way out.â€

The water pressure in the city will remain low until they are able to fill the tanks on the butte east of Shelley. When the tanks are full, or near full, they allow the city lines to have sufficient pressure. Currently, the city crews are trying to turn on several wells to fill the tanks as fast as possible.
