Marsha Bradley Fitch obituary

Coltrin Mortuary Obituaries

Marsha Bradley Fitch left us on September 29, 2023, while surrounded by her children at her home, at the young age of 75. Marsha was born on August 3, 1948. To Lynn and Jeanne Bradley in Shelley, Idaho. She was the third of six children, though her sister Linda died before Marsha’s birth. Marsha grew up and went to school in Shelley. In high school, she was a varsity cheerleader, the prom queen, and graduated as Valedictorian.

On August 18, 1967, Marsha married David Lynn Staggie. To this union three children were born: Jill Lynn, David Lynn Jr., and Erin Jeanne.  Marsha and David loved to load up the kids and go hunting and fishing. The family spent many weekends camping near Palisades. Marsha was a good shot and enjoyed shooting clay pigeons, and they both loved to go bowling. David died in a motor vehicle accident on April 23, 1978. After that, Marsha packed up the kids and moved everyone to the house she grew up in in Shelley.  This is where she met David Ray Fitch and they were married on June 20, 1980. Marsha and Ray were married until 1986.

Marsha worked and retired from the United States Postal Service where she met and maintained many lifelong friendships. After her retirement, she spent several years working part-time at various jobs and volunteering at the hospital to stay active and busy. But she was never too busy to spend time with family and friends. She loved meeting for lunches and going to holiday or celebration parties.  Marsha was incredibly close to her mother and four siblings and talked about them often.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Lynn and Jeanne Bradley; her older brother, Mike; her younger sister, Layne; and her younger brother, Scott.

She is survived by her brother, Joe; her three children: Jill Lynn Smith, David Lynn Staggie Jr., and Erin Jeanne Seay; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Marsha had a passion for rescue dogs and always had at least two pets at a time voluntarily. There were often times she would have more pets thanks to her mischievous children. Marsha would often tell her children each of them was her favorite, but the kids always suspected the dogs were secretly her favorites.

Marsha was loved more than words can convey and she will be missed terribly. When she left, she took a piece of each of her children’s hearts.

A celebration of life will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m., October 28, 2023, at the Hampton Inn, 645 Lyndsey Boulevard, Idaho Falls. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls.
