Lela Oler Obituary

Lela Thomson Oler was born July 30,1930 in Idaho Falls Idaho to Henry L. and Leora Goody Thomson. She joined her siblings Vera, Tillie, Ray, Peggy, Harold, Bobby and later Margene. They made their home in Idaho Falls and Taylor, Idaho. She attended schools in Taylor and Shelley.
She married Morris J. Oler and they had five children Nancy, Rick, Jan, Roger, and Paul. Morris passed away in 1974. She later married Norman “Duke” Mitchell and they were married for 21 years . They served a Family History mission together in Salt Lake City.
Lela enjoyed geneology, bowling, water skiing, camping and playing softball. She was a member of the Shelley Study and Arts Club and participated in the “Miss Russet” pageant for several years.

She is survived by her children Nancy Oler, Rick (Mary) Oler, Jan (James) Oler-Bentley and Roger (Joan) Oler. Her grandchildren Angie (Ron) Miller, Bryce (Cristin) Ellis, Bryan (Amanda) Ellis, DeeNa (Matt) Oler, Matt (Nikki) Oler, Blake Oler, Austin Bentley, Taylor Bentley, Kiri Oler, and Kyle and Kenzie Oler. Lela has 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her son Paul, grandson James Ryan Bentley and grandson Roger Thomas Morris Oler.

Lela passed away on September 26,2021 in Clarkston , WA. She was under the care of her family and Elite Hospice.
Graveside services at the Lewisville Cemetary are pending due to Covid.
