Shelley Police Log: March 24-29
The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individuals’ names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between March 24-29.
March 24
6:21 a.m. Accident — Subway — 2 vehicle crash. 2017 gray Passat vs white truck. No injuries. Blocking
2:07 p.m. Civil Complaint — S State St — RP was renting out the back part of the building from (name removed), had some items in it and now he is refusing to give them back to the RP.
5:54 p.m. Accident — S State St & W Fir St — RP is in a red Honda Civic and rear-ended a teal Jeep Renegade. No injuries, there is blockage.
6:26 p.m. Animal Complaint — Twilight Dr — Husky mix detained in his yard. Collar is purple. Is friendly and believes it belongs in the area however they have been unable to locate an owner and need it picked up.
6:48 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — N Park Ave — RP states a drone flew over the RP’s backyard, sat for while, and then is moving onto other houses and stopping in their backyards. RP thinks they’re trying to case houses.
March 25
1:28 p.m. Civil Stand-by — E Locust St — Civil stand-by to gather personal belongings from the residence. RP will be waiting outside near her brown Buick.

March 26
10:22 a.m. Request Assistance — E Locust St — RP would like to speak with an officer regarding a Civil Protection Order. RP states her husband (name removed) is not following their CPO.
8:42 p.m. Wanted Subject — W Maple St — RP advised subject (name and date of birth removed), has been couch surfing. RP’s daughter (name removed) is currently in the hospital in Idaho Falls, subject is possibly at above location while RP’s daughter is away. RP would like contact afterwards.
10:39 p.m. Animal Complaint — W Fir St — RP is needing a female silver Huskey picked up that wandered into her house. Dog has a red collar on.
March 27
6:27 p.m. Fire Call — W Fir St — Fire in neighbor’s backyard – can see tons of smoke.
March 28
3:19 a.m. Disturb the Peace — Goodsell Elementary — There is a lot of noise coming from around the area.
6:47 a.m. Burglary Business — Goodsell Elementary — RP states that the school was broken into and there is damage. RP states that some computers were also stolen. Occurred some time last night.
4:54 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Hummingbird Ln — There was a juvenile male that was on a skateboard and was impeding traffic – Last seen wearing black sweatshirt – jeans – blue sunglasses – still going up and down Hummingbird.
March 29
9:43 a.m. Fraud — E Maple St — Possible ID theft.
11:40 a.m. Agency Assist — Opal Ct — Priority 2 referral on a 7-year-old female.
7:51 p.m. Animal Complaint — W Pine St — Son was bit by a dog.
11:03 p.m. Fail to Appear — W Maple St — Has a 29 out of Idaho Falls.
