Heaven gained another angel on October 28^, 2023. Our beloved Kelly S. Fielding earned his wings and is having a great reunion with our loved ones who have passed on before us.

Kelly was the best husband, father, brother and son that anyone could ask for and will be greatly missed.

Kelly was born on January 19, 1976, the second son of Keith and Karma Fielding. Kelly grew up in Goshen, Idaho and attended school in Firth. He was raised on the family farm where he moved pipe, drove tractors and learned to ride motorcycles. His favorite was his bullet bikes.

Kelly graduated from Firth High School in 1994. After graduating he went to work for Bonneville County, where he worked for 20 years and retired in 2018. Kelly took the skills he learned from working with his Uncle Mike installing flooring and started his own business in 1996, Fielding Flooring.

In April 1997, Kelly welcomed a cute little boy into his life. Skylar Lamb became his life. He loved being with Skylar as much as he could. In 2002 Kelly met the love of his life Courtney Dye. She swept him off his feet and they were married on September 20, 2002. One year later they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple. On May 13, 2004, Kelly and Courtney welcomed twin boys, Brayden Kelly and Braxton Kelly into their family. As if their world wasn’t crazy enough, 13 months later they welcomed another little boy Carter Joshua (C.J.) into their family. Kelly and Courtney bought Grandpa Christensen’s home in Shelley and Shelley is where they continued to grow their family and business. Cameron Reese joined the clan in November 2008, Nicholas “Nick” Sawyer in December 2009, and Ryker Jesse completed the team March 13, 2012.

For the last 5 years, Kelly has been working at INL as a heavy equipment operator, as well as being a part owner of Iron Stone Excavation with his older brother, Dan Fielding and brother-in-law Derrick Dye.

Kelly served in many roles in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, such as scout leader, Elders Quorum Presidency, and Ward Employment Specialist, but his favorite was working with the youth. He exemplified disciple leadership as described by this quote from Elder Kim B. Clark. “the kind of leadership that builds, lifts, inspires, through kindness, love and unselfish devotion to the Lord and His work. It’s the kind of leadership you need to build an eternal family.”

He had a great love of fishing and hunting while always looking for the next trophy. He loved everything outdoors especially grilling for family gatherings. Kelly had a love of games: board games, card games, and strategy games that he could cheat at with his cousin Jay. He was always quick to get everyone together to play games and eat.

 Kelly grew up with lots of cousins as his best friends and confidants. Kelly loved motorcycles and passed the daredevil gene on to all his boys.  On many occasions Kelly would be seen pulling his boys aside and having a deep heart to heart, letting them know what was expected of them and that they were loved. He loved to watch his boys compete in sports and dance, spend time working on scout projects, and enjoying the outdoors.

Always caring and concerned for others, many can describe Kelly as a peacemaker. He had a gentle way of resolving conflicts and setting people at ease. He also loved to make people smile, and you knew you were loved and important after spending any time with him.

Kelly is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reese and Margaret Sessions of Firth, ID; Arvel and Dorothy Fielding of Shelley, ID; father–in–law- Jesse Dye of Shelley, ID; and a little sister, Eliza Kay Fielding.

He leaves behind a wonderful legacy. wife Courtney (Dye) Fielding, children, Skylar Neil Lamb, Brayden Kelly Fielding, Braxton Kelly Fielding, Carter Joshua (C.J.) Fielding, Cameron Reese Fielding, Nicholas (Nick) Sawyer Fielding, and Ryker Jesse Fielding, brother, Dan (Chrissy) Fielding of Shelley, ID;  sisters, Ronda (Rick) Ball of Rigby, ID; Terri (Chris) Weidler of Port Jefferson, NY; Tina (Jeff) Phillips of Caldwell, ID and brother, James Fielding of Idaho Falls.

We would like to thank everyone for their kind loving words and generosity at this time. Kelly will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Shelley Stake Center (325 East Locust). The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M. at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak Street, in Shelley and Saturday from 9:30 till 10:30 A.M. at the church. Burial will be in the Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery.
