Shelley and Firth residents invited to give blood on Wednesday

The Shelley and Firth communities are invited to become hometown heroes and answer the call of patients in need by donating blood on May 12, 2021

UPDATE: Community Pioneer has learned the name of the decedent driver and the surviving passenger of the 2001 Ford Taurus.

The following is a list of most of the incidents reported and responded to by Bingham County Deputies between March 31 through April 21.

FIRTH – Eastern Idaho’s farming communities rely on canals and ditches for crop irrigation. Naturally, without proper management, those canals

Evacuation orders for residents have been lifted, but despite firefighter efforts, some structures have been damaged or destroyed.

Sixty firefighters are aggressively engaging the Lavaside Fire to protect structures.

Homes are being evacuated and Firth schools are on standby as wind continues to push the Lavaside Fire north.

Firefighters worked late into the evening to get a handle on theLavaside Fire, which is approximately 190 acres.

Crews are working to gain control over a fire that is burning at the river bottoms south of Firth.
