Police investigating possible drive-by shooting in Shelley

SHELLEY — Law enforcement are investigating a possible drive-by shooting on South Park early Monday morning.

Around 3:30 a.m., Shelley police received a call about gunfire on South Park. When they arrived on the scene, law enforcement found evidence that around four shots had been fired into a residence on the 500 block of South Park.

“It did appear to be a drive-by,” Shelley Police Chief Rod Mohler told Community Pioneer. “Nobody was hurt. And as of right now we’ve got no suspects.”

Mohler said officers are canvasing the area and speaking to local residents. If anyone has any information, they are encouraged to call dispatch at (208) 357-3446.

“I do not believe that any other residents or the neighborhood is in jeopardy or in danger in any way. This is just a single isolated incident,” Mohler said.
