Shelley Police Log Jan. 6-19

Jan. 6
12:53 p.m. Fire Call – A fire truck was requested at Shelley High School because of the smell of electrical fume.
3:05 p.m. Traffic Complaint – A caller reported that a man he knew was driving to Broulim’s and had a suspended license. The man’s license was checked and found to not be suspended.
Jan. 7
10:44 a.m. Fire Call – A caller reported a heavy chemical smell near homes on Milton.
5:06 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance – A caller reported that her sister was followed to Food Plaza by an individual in a car parked on the side of the road.
5:24 p.m. Traffic Complaint – A caller on Meadowlark Dr. reported that a green pickup was driving recklessly and had hit their mailbox. The caller did not want to be contacted.
Jan. 8
3:56 p.m. Animal Complaint – A caller on Meadowlark Dr. reported that a dog was preventing an older man from walking down the street past it.
7:42 p.m. Animal Complaint – A caller on Pine reported that her neighbor’s two dogs had been barking for 3 days.
10:06 p.m. Animal Complaint – A person on Edwards reported a dog barking outside and “would like the dog to be quieted.”
Jan. 9
12:06 p.m. Abandoned Vehicle – A caller on Cardinal Dr. reported a motorhome that had been left in the area since July.
Jan. 10
2:08 p.m. Welfare Check – An individual requested a welfare check and reported that she had not spoken with her children in two months.
Jan. 11
7:09 a.m. Welfare Check – A caller on Maple reported a male walking in a parking lot screaming and yelling.
12:52 p.m. Motorist Assist – A caller on W. Fir reported a blue or silver vehicle parking in the lane of travel.
1:11 p.m. Accident – An accident was reported on Maple.
3:04 p.m. CPO Violation – A caller on Milton, stated that her daughter was violating the protection order between them.
9:40 p.m. An individual on Oak reported that her son’s grandmother was allowed visitation for the weekend but is now refusing to return the child.
Jan. 12
2:05 p.m. Animal Complaint – A caller on Fir reported they had a loose dog detained and would like it to be picked up.
4:26 p.m. Accident – A two-vehicle accident involving a Maroon TrailBlazer and a Nissan SUV was reported at Broulim’s.
Jan. 13
1:58 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance – A caller on Fir reported his father was following him.
3:28 p.m. An officer responded to reported harassment at Shelley High School.
5:53 p.m. Agency Assist – Idaho Falls police requested an officer contact an individual on Emerson.
8:19 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance – A caller on State St. requested an officer check on a fellow employee in the parking lot. The employee was known to struggle with substance abuse.
Jan. 14
4:29 p.m. An individual on the west side of town reported receiving a threatening note from a neighbor and requested to speak with an officer.
Jan. 16
12:15 a.m. Suspicious Circumstance – A caller on Maple reported a male wearing a white, blue, and pink jacket, attempting to open her storage door.
8:54 a.m. Funeral Escort – A funeral escort was requested from Shelley to Firth.
9:32 a.m. A welfare check was requested on Pine.

8:18 p.m. Traffic Complaint – A caller reported a possible DUI on State St.
Jan. 18
2:08 p.m. Welfare Check – A caller on Fir requested a check on a female involved in a domestic dispute the previous day. The caller reported blood all over the front steps and claimed she had overheard juveniles in the home talking about “getting hurt too.”
Jan. 19
1:55 p.m. Accident Hit and Run – A caller reported being T boned by a grey Audi. The Audi fled towards the freeway.
7:55 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance – A caller on Brent Way reported a flash followed by a loud bang.
