Joshua Jones obituary

Joshua Douglas Jones, 39, passed away May 22, 2021 unexpectedly.

Josh was born on July 23, 1981 to Bret and Jodie Jones.

Josh was a busy man from the day of his birth.  Josh was born and raised in Shelley, Idaho.  As a young child Josh was involved in many activities.  This is when he became a great baseball player and developed a love for fishing.  Josh loved the outdoors.

Josh was a member of  the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  He served in many callings, he served with all his might. 

He loved life.  He attended schools in Shelley where he graduated in 1999.

After school Josh had many jobs.  He was a hard worker.  Josh was the life of the party.  His smile was so contagious.  Josh loved everyone dearly.

Josh married Emily Eden Andrus on July 15, 2005.  Together they were blessed with five beautiful boys, Degan, Drayden, Daxton, Drake, and Drevik.  They made their life in Shelley.  The family enjoyed the outdoors.  Josh and Emily were busy with those boys.  They loved and adored them.  In 2014 they divorced.

Josh later found and married Jentry Lynn Dille in 2015.  Josh and Jentry stayed in Shelley and then later moved to Blackfoot.  They enjoyed fishing, golfing, and many outdoor activities with the five Jones boys.  Later they divorced in 2017.

Josh went on raising his five boys and participating in all their many activities.

Josh met Taylor Ballard in 2018 and was with her until present.  Together they traveled and enjoyed many activities with the boys.

Josh is survived by Taylor Ballard of Rexburg; sons, Degan, Drayden, Daxton, Drake and Drevik of Shelley; parents, Bret and Jodie Jones of Shelley; siblings, Shala (Greg) Hambrick of Gilbert, AZ; Brittany (Troy) Taylor of Shelley; grandma, Lucille Jones of Preston; many nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Josh was preceded in death by his grandpa, Doyle Jones, aunt, Elaine Jones, uncle, Douglas Jones, grandparents, Jerry and Emma Taylor, grandparents, Stoney and Fay Reed, grandpa, Earl Conolog and aunt, Bonnie Jones.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the Shelley Fourth Ward Chapel (184 North Park Ave. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5.30 till 7:30 P.M at Nalder Funeral Home, 110 W Oak Street, Shelley and Saturday morning from 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Grove City Cemetery.
