Dr. Tanner Higham joins River Valley Dental

Welcome back to Shelley Dr. Tanner Higham, who has joined Dr. Bryce D. Hanson, DMD at River Valley Dental.  River Valley Dental has been serving the community for 23 years.   

Dr. Higham was born and raised in Shelley, Idaho. He participated in many sports throughout his life.  While attending Shelley High, Tanner was a member of the State Championship basketball and golf teams.  He was an All-State athlete in basketball and golf, earning Player of the Year his senior year.   

Combining his enthusiasm for sports with his passionate pursuit for education, Tanner accepted a golf scholarship at Utah State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in nutrition.  He was awarded Summa Cum Laude in his educational pursuit. 

After graduating from Utah State, Dr. Higham attended dental school at Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine, graduating at the top of his class.  He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in April of 2019.  

Dr. Higham joined Portneuf Valley Dental team in Pocatello shortly after that, where he practiced until April this year. 

Dr. Higham is excited to be back in Shelley and looks forward to serving the community with his dental expertise.  Dr. Higham utilizes the most modern technology to help provide patients with the care and comfort they deserve.

Dr. Higham has developed dental specialties, particularly implants, sleep apnea, and cosmetic dentistry. He is committed to continuing his education and attends courses to ensure he provides the highest quality care for his patients.

Dr. Higham and his wife, Ashtyn, met while he was attending dental school.  She is also from Southeast Idaho. They have twin girls and look forward to building their family in the area. When Dr. Higham isn’t focused on dentistry or spending time with his family, he can be found golfing and enjoying the outdoors.
