Sealcoating wraps up Friday in Shelley

SHELLEY — Residents living on South Park and North to South Milton won’t have to live with the stinky smell of asphalt for much longer.

City of Shelley crews expect to finish the sealcoating project this Friday. The streets they are working on are South Park and North and South Milton.

City of Shelley Public Works Director Justin Johnson said sealcoating on South Park is from Fir Street to Center Street. On North and South Milton, they are working from Locust Street to Oak Street.

“What we did last week was the other half of South Park and the other half of Milton,” Johnson said.

Johnson asked that residents move their vehicles if they are parked on the east side of the streets where crews are working.

“They did the west side of each one of the roads today. Tonight and tomorrow (residents) can park on the west side because tomorrow and Friday, they will be doing the east side,” Johnson said.
