Shelley Police Log: Aug 18-24

The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individual’s names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written.  The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between Aug 18-24.

Aug 18

9:31 a.m. Missing Person — Sunrise Elementary — Missing student.

11:21 a.m. Animal Complaint — Riverview Elementary — Aggressive dog on the playground.

4:39 p.m. Missing Person — Stuart Elementary — Juvenile did not get off the bus, (name removed), he rode the bus to school. Last seen with blue hoodie, black shorts, brown hiking boots. Should have arrived 20 ago. Wife is driving around looking for him, she is driving a white Dodge Ram truck.

Aug 19

2:13 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance (Unfounded) — N Park Ave — Male banging on their neighbor’s door – male wearing dark shorts gray jacket – white – stated the male is hanging around the car and has been going through the car.

7:22 p.m. Found Property — Anderson St & N State St — Can see a child’s bicycle on north side of the street on Anderson. No kids around.

11:18 p.m. Shots Fired (Unfounded) — N Holmes Ave — RP heard what sounded like three gunshots. Doesn’t see anything in the area. Could not say which direction it came from.

Aug 20

11:45 a.m. Information — S Emerson Ave — Truck in impound yard suspected drugs in the vehicle. Uhaul Truck Arizona plate (license plate number removed). Recovered from river bed. Subject has been calling them for access to it. Subject (name removed). RP advising that they only suspect this because subject was previously confrontational when vehicle was recovered, and now keeps calling.

3:05 p.m. Information — W Fir St — RP states his wife received a phone call from someone in Wisconsin by the name of (name removed) that told her she was hacked and requesting information. They did not give any information, RP would still like to speak with an officer.

10:29 p.m. Animal Complaint — Spruce St — RP states there is a husky that approached the RP’s dad earlier and started barking at him and now it is loose with another dog unknown description is the neighborhood. Unknown owner. RP does not want contacted.

11:39 p.m. Fish & Game — W Fir St — There is a bat in the living room.

Aug 21

9:27 a.m. Accident — Shelley High School — RP witnessed the accident. One is a black Pontiac Vs Toyota Prius (license plate number removed.

10:51 a.m. Lost Property — W Pine St — RP is calling in behalf of his father (name removed) who is Spanish speaking and lost his passport 6 months ago somewhere at his residence.

4:28 p.m. Welfare Check — W Oak St — This is possible address. RP would like a welfare check on her grandson 2 month old (first name removed) unknown last. (Name removed) is the mother. RP states that (name removed) is always out partying and using narcotics and RP is concerned where the child is during these times. RP would like contacted via land line.

8:42 p.m. Welfare Check — W Maple St — RP requesting welfare check on her 2 moth old grandson, (name removed) is the mother and she is possibly with an (name removed) who we show resides at this address. RP states they are using narcotics and constantly moving and is concerned fro the grandson’s welfare. RP would like contacted after via land line.

Aug 22

7:43 p.m. Animal Complaint — E Pin St — Border Collie Shepard mix – female – no collar.

8:51 p.m. Animal Complaint — E Pine St — Stated that someone took her dog.

Aug 23

11:43 a.m. Civil Stand-By — Shelley — Son and mother live in Shelley wanting civil standby for son’s car. Has questions about car and civil standby.

1:00 p.m. Extra Patrol — Shelley Veterinary Hospital — RP was told by other clinics that break-ins are starting up again. This location has not had problems yet but wanted extra patrol.

Aug 24

10:15 a.m. Truancy — Skate Park — Two kids at the skate park.

11:57 a.m. Animal Complaint — Park View LP — Black or brown Labrador that is loose in their area. Red collar with green tag with city of Shelley tag.

4:27 p.m. Animal Complaint — Spruce St — Missing her brown/white Husky.
