Russet Cheerleaders take 1st in Stunt and 3rd in Pom at Districts
AMMON: Shelley Russet Cheerleaders took 1st place in Stunt routine and 3rd in Pom at the 4A High Country Conference District Finals, held at Hillcrest High School, Saturday, January 29.
The Shelley Russet Cheerleaders have qualified for State Competition in two categories after winning 1st place in the all-girl, one-minute stunt routine, and 3rd place in Pom at the 4A District Championships on Saturday. The District and State Cheer Competition comprises four areas of competition – Show Cheer, Pom, Sideline Routine, and Stunt Group.
Lacee Martin, Lezzy Ricks, Leslie Palacios, Brooklyn Lester, and Addison Lott performed the one-minute stunt routine that won the Russets first place. They automatically qualify for State in this category. The team also qualifies for State by taking 3rd in Pom.
The State Cheer Competition will be held Saturday, February 12, at the Idaho Center, in Nampa, Idaho. We wish the Russet Cheerleaders the best of luck at State!
