Nalders Funeral Home obituaries

On October 29, 2023, Jordan Christopher Meine. 30, passed away peacefully in his home in Boise, Idaho.

He was born on February 24, 1993. (Or as he would say, he was born a pieces) in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Chris and Angie Meine. He was the only boy of 4 children. He has 3 sisters who loved and adored him: Jada, Kattie and Carly.

Jordan grew up in Shelley, Idaho where he attended school and later graduated from Shelley High School. He was involved in many different clubs and activities such as, drama, choir, student body government, floral culture, cross country and FFA. He was crowned Prom King, and Mr. Russet. He also received the Mr. Shelley High award. During his high school career, he developed a passion for political science. After school he worked at various jobs, one working as a youth counselor for the YMCA and The Frosty Gator.

It wasn’t until his early 20’s that he decided to attend Boise State University where he applied on a whim, and surprised that he was accepted. He perused his passion in political science, American Sign Language, and later communications. His dream was to become the first gay, republican president. While living in Boise Jordan worked in various hospitality services, some being Dutch Bros., Water Bear Bar, and most recently front of house manager at Stardust Boise.

Jordan loved the Boise area where he enjoyed hikes with friends, floating the river, and going out to have a good time. For those who knew Jordan knew he loved to party. He lived a large, broke, loud and proud life. Jordan was an old soul, witty, sarcastic, and had a style of his own. He was unapologetically himself. He was famously opinionated, with a sharp tongue. He was the queen of thrifting, from clothes to home décor. Jordan enjoyed music, art and horticulture. Jordan greatest love was his relationships with his family and friends. He loved his parents, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, you name it. He was a stranger to no one. If you were a friend of Jordan’s, you were his family and his family meant everything to him.

Jordan is survived by his parents Chris and Angie (Gallup) Meine; his siblings Jada (Jon) Anderson; Kattie (Joe) Arave; Carly (Cody) Dalley; Uncle Glendon “Dee” Gallup. 9 nephews; 7 nieces

Proceeded in death by grandparents; Glendon and Judy Gallup; Jack and Billie Meine; Uncle Kim Sommers; Aunt Georgia Diaz; Uncle Gary Boyce.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 6, 2023 at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak Street) in Shelley.
