Bingham County Sheriff’s Office Log: Dec 8-22
This log is only a partial report of all incidences reported to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office. It contains only those incidences that occur in northern Bingham County. The Sheriff’s Office handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying police, fire, and medical services in this area. Community Pioneer omits individuals’ names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following is a list of most of the incidents reported and responded to by Bingham County Deputies between Dec. 8-22.
Dec 8
11:13 a.m. Animal Complaint — Firth Middle School — RP reporting ongoing issue with male who has a loose dog. When she took pictures of the loose dog to document it happening. Male cussed her out RP out for a walk requesting contact about the situation.
3:19 p.m. Animal Complaint — 885 E, Shelley — RP states that there is a loose Black Lab in the area of the above location. No collar. RP unable to catch.
4:34 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91, Firth — Behind an 18 wheeler that is all over the roadway.
6:02 p.m. Agency Assist — Interstate 15, Rest Area Northbound — Requesting unit respond to ATL lost wallet. RP (name removed) reporting his wallet fell out of pocket between the parking lot and the vending machine. Original reporting party headed back however eta of over an hour.

Dec 10
9:45 a.m. Theft-Grand — 800 E, Firth — RP states actuators were stolen from the location. RP is not currently on scene, But would like a phone call before an officer heads out.
10:57 a.m. Welfare Check — 1550 N, Shelley — RP requesting a welfare check on a student.
9:12 p.m. Request Assistance — Adams St, Firth — RP believes her son was abused last week – father is (name removed) – RP contacted Bonneville County regarding the issue -Father lives in firth-
Dec 11
1:29 a.m. Request Assistance — 1100 N, Shelley — Can hear males fighting.
3:03 a.m. Traffic Complaint — Interstate 15, Shelley — RP reporting that there is a truck that is unable to maintain lane of travel. RP is unable to get further description.
5:00 a.m. Agency Assist — Interstate 15, Shelley — Vehciel rolled on the shoulder vehicle is on its top.
10:04 a.m. Accident — 1500 N, Shelley — RP states that last night he hit a pole and is now needing a police report. RP not injured. Requesting to be contacted via landline.
2:51 p.m. Civil Stand-By — Firth — RP requesting contact. His friend (name removed) is in jail and he was asked to get items from his residence in Firth area on sugar factory road. RP does not know the address, request to speak to deputy was told he would need a police escort.

1:46 a.m. DUI – Felony — Highway 91, Firth — (License plate removed) is over road. White older GMC truck.
2:23 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1000 E, Shelley — Missing 2 dogs. One is a black Shepard wearing red/white blue collar, neutered, not chipped wearing a county tag the other is a black Lab wearing purple collar, spayed, not wearing county tags. Last seen at 8:30 a.m.
9:37 p.m. Disorderly Conduct — 900 E, Shelley — Brother on meth causing a disturbance, (name removed).
Dec 14
1:12 a.m. Trespass — 1100 E, Shelley — (Name removed) is trying to steal gas out of the RP’s green Chevy Truck.
3:10 a.m. Agency Assist — Interstate 15 — Stolen vehicle white 2007 Chevy passenger car (license plate removed).
10:04 a.m. Animal Complaint — 700 N, Firth — RP would like to file a report regarding barking dogs.
3:54 p.m. Animal Complaint — Highway 91, Firth — RP missing a male Husky mixed with German Shepherd. Wearing a black/white bandana.
4:49 p.m. Animal Complaint — E River Road, Firth — Male brindle-colored pitbull mix. Not wearing collar.
5:30 p.m. Request Assistance — 1100 E, Shelley — Stated that (name removed) is beating up (name removed) – RP is 3rd party.
Dec 15
4:11 a.m. Wanted Subject (arrested) — 1500 N, Shelley — RP reporting a Nissan (license plate removed) has wrecked in the RP’s driveway. May have hit the trees.
6:08 a.m. Animal Complaint — 750 E, Shelley — RP reporting that his male black Lab is missing from its kennel. Should have an orange collar with blue rabies tag and silver name tag.
5:54 a.m. Slide Off — Highway 91, Firth — RP just got home and there is a gold older vehicle in the barrow pit. RP did not stop and is unsure it anyone is inside or around it.
Dec 16
2:38 a.m. Accident — Interstate 15, Shelley — Semi driver reporting that there is black Honda passenger car pulled off in the fast lane. Believes there may have been a turn signal on. Possibly hit a deer, looks like the front passenger side is wrecked. RP couldn’t see anyone around it.
8:48 a.m. Accident — 1200 N, Shelley — RP stating sometime in the night someone possibly slid off the road and damaged his fence.
9:50 a.m. Animal Complaint — 700 N, Firth — RP is wanting to sign a citation regarding barking dogs. (Name removed) is the owner of the dogs.
3:12 p.m. Accident — 600 N, Firth — Minor injuries – white passenger car vs truck head-on collision – blockage.
6:01 p.m. Welfare Check — 1550 N, Shelley — RP is needing a welfare check on his juvenile child. As the mother did not show up today for a child custody exchange.
9:20 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1250 N, Shelley — Three horses running loose in the area. RP could not tell color due to it being too dark.
Dec 17
4:13 a.m. Motorist Assist — 1250 N, Shelley — Multiple calls in regards to several vehicles stuck in snow drifts off Exit 108. Eaton’s towing advised they are out trying to pull vehicles out and direct traffic.
3:00 p.m. Animal Complaint — Roosevelt St, Firth — Ongoing problem with dog that is allowed to run loose. Belongs to a Hispanic family that lives in the trailer park by the high school. Unknown space number. Dog is a Chocolate Lab. Saw him on their ring cam about 10 ago.
5:40 p.m. Animal Complaint — Interstate 15, Shelley — Last seen 3 ago Black Lab on west side of Exit at 108 in a field roaming the area, RP is afraid it will wander to the road and get hit. RP was passerby.
Dec 18
8:12 a.m. Accident — 1550 N, Shelley — 2 vehicle crash. No injuries. No blockage. Will be a white Ford truck 1500 vs red Toyota Camry.
2:06 p.m. Civil Complaint — 1250 N, Shelley — RP states that he is attempting to pick up his son. Grandmother is refusing to allow the RP to pick him up. RP states that she possibly has fled the state.
Dec 19
12:08 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Interstate 15, Firth — Boss hit. White 2010 Mazda Wanted Subject.
1:18 p.m. Animal Complaint — 950 E, Shelley — Last seen 10 ago at the corner in a potato field 4-5 horses loose, unknown who’s they are.
8:15 p.m. Animal Complaint — 400 N, Firth — Almost hit a black cow in the road, yellow ear tag.
10:15 p.m. Traffic Complaint — 1200 N, Shelley — Spanish speaking female on the line, waiting for language line. Asking for police. Vehicle was driving reckless in the trailer park. Black SUV, vehicle is currently parked at the entrance.
Dec 20
10:21 a.m. Animal Complaint — Roosevelt St, Firth — Called a few weeks ago about the neighbor’s dog that continually comes onto her years and defecating. RP stated the dog continues to be loose and was just in her yard. Stated she also has video and is now wanting to sign a citation against the owner.
12:38 p.m. Welfare Check — 900 E, Shelley — Requesting welfare check on her brother (name removed), has been told he has been carrying a golf club with him, stating people are after him. RP is concerned for her parents’ well-being. Her parents advised he has locked himself in a bathroom. He has been violent towards the parents in the past. RP’s parents also stated he went to EIRMC this morning concerned that he had tape worms.
Dec 21
5:30 a.m. Slide Off — 1100 N, Shelley — Red Mustang in the snow on the side of the road on Escott W of Foundry. Lights flashing and on.
7:56 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Interstate 15, Shelley — RP says there is semi behind the RP that ran the RP off the road twice and keeps flashing brights towards them. RP wants to sign a citation against the truck driver.

4:57 a.m. Animal Complaint — 1200 N, Shelley — White horse running in the middle of the road.
