Shelley Police Log: Dec. 30 – Jan. 11

Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between Dec. 30 – Jan. 11.
Dec 30
2:56 p.m. Motorist Assist — E Center St & N Lincoln Ave — RP struck in the middle of the road. RP is in a charcoal Chrysler 300. Female and child in the vehicle.
7:34 p.m. Welfare Check — S Park Ave — RP has a 14-year-old family friend there who is scared to go home. RP refusing to give her name until officers get there.
8:27 p.m. Wanted Subject (Arrested) — Food Plaza — RP states there is a male, wearing a Marine baseball cap, Levi jacket and blue Jeans, that is walking around the store, and will not leave, states he’s trying to get to Idaho Falls Airport, RP would like him checked on.

12:06 p.m. Abandoned Vehicle — N Park Ave — Dark colored truck has been parked in front of RP’s house. Unknown who it belongs to. Request it be checked out.
12:16 p.m. Traffic Complaint — W Center St & W Oak St — Last seen 1 ago, black Toyota older Sequoia SUV between W Center and Oak, spinning cookies teenage male driver. Subjects driving the area.
3:26 p.m. Agency Assist — S Byron Ave — RP out with abandoned vehicle at (address removed) in Bonneville County, request (name removed) be contacted. Vehicle will be towed in 48 hours if not moved. Vehicle is a red Chevy Cavalier (license plate removed.)
7:50 p.m. Welfare Check — 355 W Maple St — RP is supposed to have his 10-year-old son every Thursday, and has not for several weeks. (Name removed) is the mother and she has not been answering the RP. Her boyfriend (name removed) also lives there, and states they have a history of abuse together. RP would like contacted via landline after.

3:14 p.m. Child Custody Interference — Opal Ct — RP states that he has a custody agreement and is to be picking up the child at 1800. Mother, (name removed), is refusing to allow the RP to pick up the child. RP has the paperwork.
6:23 p.m. Welfare Check — W Fir St — Directly across the street to the left brick duplex red Ford Explorer and a black passenger car. RP was just shoveling snow and a neighbor kid came over saying his dad hit his mom. He said that they fight all the time. RP knows the last name of (name removed.)

1:42 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Shelley — Report of black power stroke truck with a camper shell, Nevada Plates. RP states that they were all over the roadway and reckless.
6:05 p.m. Civil Complaint — W Oak St — RP’s ex (name removed) is moving out, RP does not feel safe as he is asking for a phone back, and called his sister unknown name to come and take it from her.

11:02 a.m. Civil Complaint — E Fir St — Rent a home in Shelley they are moving out and have been out for the holiday – landlord has been driving by several time harassing the RP. And is now telling the RP he is bringing subjects to the home to view it this week and the RP stated they are still in the process of moving and have items still in the home.
3:53 p.m. Animal Complaint — E Center St & N Byron Ave — RP stating there are two dogs, one a Boxer and the other white dog that are chasing kids at the bust stop. Currently heading down Byron.
4:50 p.m. Welfare Check — W Fir St — Requesting a welfare check on (name removed). RP stated that she is currently walking outside the complex wearing a hoodie and slippers. RP also stated that her skin color appears off. RP is requesting to have her checked on.

3:49 a.m. Slide Off — W Maple St — RP has slid off the road and is now stuck in front of the apartments in the grass – will be in a 2015 blue Malibu
12:45 p.m. Accident — W Fir St & N State St — RP stating she was hit by a red semi, then he drove off going down fir going towards interstate. No injuries, not blocking.
5:07 p.m. Welfare Check — Post Office — Female caller stated she was by the post office and was crying unknown issues.

8:31 a.m. Theft-Petit — W Maple St — Theft of ice melt from this location. RP will be white Ford F150 in the parking lot.

10:04 a.m. Suspicious Circumstance — Park View — RP states that someone possibly attempted to break into their home. Ring door bell caught someone trying to enter the home.
5:53 p.m. Request Assistance — S Park Ave — RP is supposed to return the children to the mother (name removed) and the stepfather (name removed) at 6 p.m. When the RP got his son back he had several bruises and scrapes on him. RP spoke with the child and was told the stepfather hits him when he poops or pees his pants. RP is at the Exxon in a white Dodge.

8:18 p.m. Information — Park Ave — Prowler last night around 10 p.m., they have it on the Ring camera.
10:54 a.m. Welfare Check — N State St — Female walking on the railroad tracks. Appears to be a teenager, light blue coat and a hoodie.
5:40 p.m. Information — E Elm St — RP is having issues with her neighbor’s dogs. RP says the neighbor (name removed) threw a snowball at the RP’s car. RP is now worried for her safety.
Jan 8
12:51 a.m. Battery — W Oak St — RP states that about 10 ago she was assaulted by (name removed) and tried to break the RP’s windshield. RP left, she is driving to her friend’s house in Blackfoot. RP does not need ems.
11:45 a.m. Animal Complaint — N State St — Brown and gray German Short Hair – Dog has been crossing at State St – Unknown owners – Dog is by State street storage.
3:16 p.m. Welfare Check — W Fir St — (Name removed) hasn’t been heard from since yesterday – RP has not called her – Stated she does drugs and is worried for her welfare.
6:22 p.m. Request Assistance — S Holmes Ave — Sister took vehicle and is possibly under the influence of meth – Green 2013 Ford Escape – Left to Idaho Falls today around 11:05 a.m. today. Has tried to call her and she is not answering her phone.
9:36 p.m. Unwanted Subject — Hummingbird Ln — Intoxicated male got dropped off at RP’s residence. He is refusing to leave and is crying outside.

1:38 p.m. Property Damage — W Oak St — States someone egged her car just now – Stated this happened a few months ago also – Unknown suspect.
4:53 p.m. Civil Stand-By — Meadowlark Dr — RP would like a civil stand-by while she picks up her daughter from (name removed). RP en route in a silver Chevy Equinox, ETA 10 minutes.
6:55 p.m. Animal Complaint — E Fir St — Male black lab went missing approximately an hour ago. Has a shock collar on, not neutered, is chipped.
9:30 p.m. Extra Patrol — Family Dollar — Manager is requesting extra patrol.

2:50 p.m. Theft-Petit — Family Dollar — A female is in the store putting merchandise in her pants.
7:47 p.m. Accident — Hard Tims II — RP was rear-ended. 95 black Chevy Turck vs a Honda Fit. No injuries, no blockage.
8:22 p.m. Harassment — Holley St — Requesting to speak with an officer regarding an issue with her son and his Facebook and Snapchat Accounts.
8:42 p.m. Welfare Check — W Center St — RP’s 13-year-old son was making suicidal comments yesterday, and has not been able to reach them since. Mother is (name removed) and she has not been answering the RP’s calls or texts either.
8:56 p.m. Welfare Check — S Holms — Got a call from a therapist stating they talked to a male named (name removed) said he couldn’t talk because he had a gun to another male’s head who was heard in background. Did ping on phone.

9:50 a.m. Duplicate — Shelley — Reported a predator in the City of Shelley.
10:20 a.m. Welfare Check — Barrett Ave — RP states elderly female has not been picking up the male at her residence, there is a package outside as well. Unknown when she picked up her mail last. They have not seen her recently. (Name removed)
3:29 p.m. Request Assistance — W Fir St — RP stated that someone has opened her and her son’s social security mail and put back in their box.
