Kenneth “Bud” Williams obituary
Kenneth (Bud) Archie Williams, 90, of Shelley, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at his home. He was under the care of Symbii Hospice.
Kenneth was born on November 20, 1930, in Merced, California to George Herbert and Mattie Francis Witt Williams. He grew up in Merced on a dairy farm and graduated from Merced High School in 1949. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 as a medic based at Travis Air Force Base in California.
On August 1, 1954, he married Carol Dawn Warren in Winters, California. To this union, three children were born: PennyLee, Kenny, and Timothy. Kenneth worked for 16 years at the California Medical Facility. They moved to Shelley, Idaho and he started working for Idaho Supreme Potato.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as High Priest teacher and Executive Secretary.
After retirement, Kenneth enjoyed spending more time on his hobbies bowling, playing guitar, camping, dancing with his sweetheart, and just spending time with his family. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother, and son who will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Williams of Shelley, Idaho; his children: PennyLee (Rick) Keller of Shelley, Idaho, Kenny (Diane) Williams of Blackfoot, Idaho, and Timothy (Beverly) Williams of Firth, Idaho; 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Shelley 7th Ward, 675 S. Milton Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Inurnment will be at 1:00 p.m., at the Blackfoot Veterans Cemetery, 2245 Cromwell Lane, Blackfoot. Cremation is under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary.
