Bingham County Sheriff’s Log: Nov. 9-16

This log is only a partial report of all incidences reported to the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office. It contains only those incidences that occur in northern Bingham County. The Sheriff’s Office handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying police, fire, and medical services in this area. Community Pioneer omits individuals’ names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following is a list of most of the incidents reported and responded to by Bingham County Deputies between Nov 9-16.

Nov 9

7:06 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1415 N, Shelley — RP Missing a gray cat. Last seen a week ago.

Nov 10

1:29 a.m. Animal Complaint — LDS Church – Jameston/Taylor — RP states there is a black cow loose ITA. No ear tags.

1:15 p.m. Animal COmplaint — 570 E, Shelley — RP states that a dog has shown up at her residence and she would like her picked up. Will be a red Lab, smaller sized, pink collar with no tags. Not Chipped.

5:34 p.m. Disorderly Conduct — E River Rd, Firth — RP’s son has keys to all RP’s vehicles won’t give them back.

7:28 p.m. Accident — 800 E, Firth — RP hit a herd of cows. Owner of the cows is on scene on a four-wheeler. No road blockage.

Nov 11

7:41 a.m. Petit Theft — E Wolverine Rd, Firth — RP’s 19-year-old son (name removed) stole 200 from the RP. RP can not get a hold of him.

12:04 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1100 N, Shelley — RP states on Tuesday night 11 of her chickens were killed. RP located a collar showing it belongs to (name removed). RP would like to speak to an officer.

12:50 p.m. Civil Complaint — Shelley Area — RP states that she left her social security card in (name removed) vehicle several months ago. He is now refusing to return it. RP would like to speak with an officer. RP states that she left the card in the suspect vehicle in the Shelley area.

1:27 p.m. Animal Complaint — 700 E, Firth — RP states that there is a dog that lives outside in a 5×5 wire crate with no shelter. Unknown owner’s name.

2:40 p.m. Civil Complaint — 665 E, Basalt — RP states that her ex is refusing to give the RP some cash that he stole. Suspect is (name removed).

4:30 p.m. Welfare Check — Lincoln St, Firth — RP is needing a welfare check on her ex-boyfriend (name removed) who she has not heard from noon. He is sounding depressed and he was going to grab some liquor. He can become aggressive when he drinks. RP received a call from (name removed) juvenile son about 15 minutes ago that he had fallen. His son left for work and he was still on the floor. RP said she is uncertain if he is suicidal.

Nov 12

12:55 p.m. Accident — Highway 91, Firth — Two vehicles crash. No injuries No Blockage.

3:56 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — 700 N, Shelley — RP states that there is someone shooting in the area of the above location. RP can just hear them, can not see them. Shooting in an unsafe manner as there are houses all over the area.

8:33 p.m. Malicious Injury — Lincoln St, Firth — Ex girlfriend (name removed) came over to the residence and broke times. She left 2 minutes ago in a gray Jeep headed north on Highway 91.

9:31 p.m. Traffic Complaint — Highway 91, Firth — Blue Jeep Grand Cherokee (license plate number removed) that was swerving all over the roadway, almost caused a collision and almost went off the road several times. RP no longer following.

Nov 13

5:43 p.m. Civil Complaint — 700 E, Firth — Says there are people moving personal items out of a house they were renting. Said they are paid through the end of the month. RP can’t remember the owner’s name, but apparently someone was paid by the owner to remove their stuff from the house RP in the process of being evicted.

6:53 p.m. Request Assistance — Lincoln St, Firth — RP calling from Utah, says (name removed) is at location. Was told that she was trespassed yesterday and not supposed to be there.

Nov 14

8:19 a.m. Animal Complaint — Firth Area — RP saw 4 or 5 goats in the middle of the train tracks.

2:53 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1000 N, Shelley — Feral cats at her residence. Requesting to borrow a cat trap.

6:07 p.m. Civil Complaint — 1180 E, Shelley — RP stated they live there on the property – stated that he wants them off the property now brother in law is threatening them (name removed).

Nov 15

8:47 a.m. Trespass — E River Rd, Firth — Requesting to speak with an officer regarding (name removed) trespassing on the property yesterday. Subject has already been cited for a previous violation.

9:59 a.m. Abandoned Vehicle — 1250 N, Shelley — RP was riding dirt bikes in the lava flow west of the freeway exit 108 and found an abandoned Razor Polaris (license plate number removed). RP also advised he could respond to show location if needed.

11:03 a.m. Accident — Interstate 15, Firth — Two vehicle accident, white Camry and Whit Chevy truck. No injuries no road blockage.

3:15 p.m. Malicious Injury — 1525 N, Shelley — RP has a bb gun bullet hole in their window. Unknown suspect.

5:49 p.m. Traffic Complaint — 1200 N, Shelley — Baige Suburban all over the road and under the speed limit heading westbound on 1200 N. RP was unable to get the plate.

9:33 p.m. Request Assistance — W Garfield St, Firth — Per Bonneville (name removed) keeps calling them and harassing them about gun laws – He has also been calling Idaho State Police too. Bonneville is requesting we talk to him and ask him to stop calling and holding up their lines.

Nov 16

8:21 a.m. Animal Complaint — 800 E, Shelley — RP states that they have a Huskey detained at the above location. Has killed one of the RP’s chickens. Unkown male or female. Wearing a black vest with a green leash attached. RP requesting it be picked up. RP will not be on scene. Dog is tied up in the backyard.

12:39 p.m. Animal Complaint — 1100 N, Shelley — RP states that there is a springer mix dog that is loose in her field. RP would like it picked up.
