Nalders Funeral Home Obituaries

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and uncle John Charles Moreida, aka “Wookie.” John passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the age of 34. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his parents Pedro and Arcelia Moreida, siblings Aurora (Antonio Escobar) (Elena Bautista), Pedro O. (Sarah), and Itsel, as well by numerous nieces and nephews. John was born August 11, 1987, and lived in Shelley his whole life.

He loved his dog Bandit and quickly took over Itsel’s dog Koda. He loved dogs; we would tell him he was a dog whisperer. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and late-night grilled cheese sandwiches. He also loved peanut butter. John had a beautiful soul who helped others. He loved his family deeply and told his siblings he loved them. Despite suffering from his addictions, he always tried to be better. We will always cherish the good memories and all our time together.

His favorite quote is, ” I must be willing to give up what I am in order to become what I will be. – Albert Einstein

John is preceded in death by his brother Arnett Diego, grandparents; Juan and Marcela Moreida, Timoteo, and Maria De Jesus Montes Gonzalez.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church (252 East 9th Street) in Idaho Falls.
