Mitchell wins Basalt Mayoral race

BASALT/FIRTH:  Rex C. Mitchell overwhelmingly won the race for Basalt Mayor, while Pam Croft won a Council seat. Christopher Likes won the race for Firth School District Trustee’s Zone 2.

In the race for the Basalt Mayor, Rex C. Mitchell received 51 votes (86.44%) over Gilford M. Patton, who received 6 votes (10.17%), and Zachary Spalding, who received 2 votes (3.39%).

In the race for Basalt City Council, Pam Croft narrowly beat Brittney Brittain by 46 (votes to 43 votes, with Alise N. F. Moore receiving 15 votes.

The race for Firth School Trustees Zone 2, Christopher Likes one over Christopher M. Jensen by 69 votes (64.649%) to 38 votes (35.51%) for the seat vacated by Brian Esplin.

These numbers are based on the unofficial election results, with 88.2% of the precincts reporting. Any differing election results will be updated when all precincts have been reported.
