Last night just before 11 PM Bingham County Sheriff’s Deputies spotted a vehicle that appeared similar to the one involved in the reported shooting from a vehicle incident in the Shelley area earlier in the day. Upon checking the license plate, it was discovered that the vehicle was confirmed to be signed stolen out of Bonneville County. Our Deputies initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle stopped at the I-15 Southbound Exit at MP 89.

During the investigation, the suspects present were Franklin Crazythunder, Jose Ponsaa, and Kelcei Llamas. It was discovered that the vehicle had been spray painted on the lower portion to create a 2-tone appearance. Each suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Bingham County Jail.

Various items of interest were seized from the vehicle to include a pistol that was confirmed to be signed stolen out of Rigby. The ammunition in which we believe matches the shell casings located at the shooting from a vehicle scene in Shelley from earlier. Several “bump keysâ€, small amounts of suspected marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a bank card not belonging to the suspects were also discovered during the course of the investigation.

We are glad to bring this incident to a close in a timely fashion. We are confident that the vehicle involved with this incident is the suspect vehicle and suspects involved in the Shelley shooting from a vehicle incident.

Though Crazythunder, Ponsaa, and Llamas are in custody and suspected of these crimes, they are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
