Shelley Police Log: Jan 26 – Feb 9

The Shelley Police Department handles dozens of emergency calls each week, deploying Police, fire, and medical services. Community Pioneer omits individuals’ names and specific addresses. Otherwise, the incident log is reported as written. The following are most of the incidents reported and responded to by the Shelley Police Department between Jan 26 – Feb 9.

Jan 26

1:12 p.m City Ordinance Violation — Holley St — Two people going door to door with permit. Two white female adult, black coat yellow scarf, Southbound on Holley towards Robald. Stated they did not know if they have apermit. RP does not wish to be contacted.

4:34 p.m. Animal Complaint — Shelley — States a dog bit her son. This is the second time, the dog lives by the swimming pool.

4:58 p.m. Battery — W Oak St — Stated someone pushed him and threatened to hit him, he was living there until today, it is (name removed). Occurred twenty ago. RP states they are at the Dominoes in Shelley, in a black SUV.

7:40 p.m. Suspicious Circumstance — W Oak St — There are footprints outside the RP’s res that they believe belong to (name removed) who is talking RP’s sister. He was kicked out this morning. He does not have a vehicle. A male just ran away about 3 ago heading towards W Oak.

9:21 p.m. Accident — Golden Valley Natural — RP slid off and hit a red passenger car that was parked near above location. No one answered the door when she tried to talk to the owner. She continued home. SHe does not have a working vehicle now and needs to report the accident.

9:00 a.m. Petit-theft — W Fir St — Theft of mail over the last several days.

10:12 a.m. Wanted Subject — S Milton Ave — Location on )name removed) who has an unconfirmed warrant out of Bonneville County.

2:05 p.m. Request Assistance — Hummingbird Ln — RP stated that there is a door-to-door salesman going around the neighborhood and stated they didn’t have a permit.

4: p.m. Animal Complaint — N Spud Aly & E Center St — Brown and white horse running down state street – unknown owners.

2:47 p.m. Vehicle Fire — Broulim’s — Camp trailer on fire.

8:01 p.m. Found Property — Arctic Circle — RP located a black mossy oak wallet that was left behind. Name on Id is (name removed). Would like it picked up.

Jan 30

1:18 a.m. CPO Violation (unfounded) — W Oak St — RP states the people at his residence are screaming and yelling. Also states there’s a male walking around and looking through trailers 4, 6 and 8.

9:49 a.m. Slide Off — Stuart Elementary — Red SUV off the road into a fence.

Jan 31

7:01 a.m. Battery (unfounded) — W Center St — RP states that last night his 14-year-old stepson threw a large piece of ice at his 4-year-old son, causing him to need stitches. RP would like to make a report.

3:45 p.m. Request Assistance — Shelley Police Department — RP at Shelley Police Department in a gray passenger car, request to speak to officer about concealed carry permit.

9:58 p.m. Littering — W Maple — Female RP advised got home, garbage outside her door, guy upstairs throwing it around. Was yelling at her for being in his apartment. Sick person (specific diagnosis) null_hit 37-year-old, female, conscious, breathing.

Feb 1

10:57 p.m. Unwanted Subject — E Pine St — States her ex is at her residence, (name removed), no vehicle, he has the code front door. The landlord gave him the code. Stated he had contacted the landlord and told her he was inside and planning on damaging property. RP was placed on hold for a 911 call and disconnected the line.

11:27 p.m. Parking Complaint — Shelley High School — Student’s vehicle, parked in the middle of senior parking. They have been unable to contact the student. They want the vehicle towed. Blue Dodge Ram truck.

Feb 2

1:04 p.m. Agency Assist — Broulim’s — RP says Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office has Civil Protection Order for him. Wants to meet a Broulim’s. Drives a 96 Ford F-150.

1:18 p.m. Accident — Broulim’s — Parking lot accident. Gray 2015 Honda Civic, White GMC Envoy SUV.

3:01 p.m. Accident — S Hanson Ave & W Fir St — Vehicle rollover. Female driver out. Conscious and breathing. No airbags deployed. Will be silver/grey Camry.

7:42 p.m. Civil Complaint — E Elm St — 18-year-old step daughter living with them however they have a lease agreement and she is not supposed to be there when the door is locked (she does not have a key to the residence) renting a bedroom downstairs. RP will be driving a blue Honda Civic.

Feb 3

7:26 a.m. Tobacco Violation — Hobbs Middle School — Juveniles vaping last night. Request officer to meet her in the office at 8 a.m. Regarding students who were vaping.

10:13 a.m. Suspicious Circumstance — W Pine St — White PT Cruiser (licese plate number removed) parked by the Shelley Senior Center, male subject in the vehicle from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on several different occasions. Back again today. RP would like to be contacted.

2:43 p.m. Request Assistance — W Maple St — 3rd party info of a child locked in a white Chevy cruise.

6:27 p.m. Found Property — E Center St — Found a pink wallet – button that closes it.

Feb 4

12:18 p.m. Welfare Check (unfounded) — W Pine St — ATL RP 3-year-old grandaughter at location, is there with the father (name removed). Has not been in a day care and the father was supposed to return the child to the mother. Check welfare of child and call RP after.

5:42 p.m. Information — S Lincoln Ave — The old tenants keep checking the RP’s mailbox. They just took something out of it and left.

7:08 p.m. Disturb the Peace (unfounded) — W maple St — RP says neighbor to the right has her surround sound on and she can’t hear her own TV.

9:21 p.m. Traffic Complaint (unfounded) — W Pine St & N State St — RP reporting a possible drunk driver green hatchback vehicle (license plate number removed). Vehicle is unable to maintain lane of travel. RP is no longer following.

9:19 p.m. Information — E Elm St — RP wants to press charges on her 18-year-old daughter due to her leaving burning papers on her desk and almost burned the house down. (Name removed) is the suspect. She is no longer on scene.

5:50 a.m. Wanted Subject (arrested) — E Locust St & N Byron Ave

Feb 6

8:29 a.m. Alarm-Business — S State St — Zone 9 store entry glass breakage. Two attempts to contact RP, no response.

Feb 7

9:19 a.m. City Ordinance Violation — Food Plaza — RP states that there are subjects living in the parking lot in an RV near The China King.

9:49 a.m. Request Assistance — Post Office — RP states that there is a customer that is having their mail stolen. RP would like to speak with an officer.

11:55 a.m. Animal Complaint — Brent Way & W Locust St — RP states that while he was walking his dog in the area of the above location, his dog was attacked by a black Lab. RP is home now and would like to meet with an officer.

1:22 p.m. Motorist Assist — N Park Ave — Truck in the canal.

8:21 Disturb the Peace (unfounded) — W Maple St — RP states the people in this apartment are being extremely loud, child running around and making noise. RP would like to be spoken to first.

Feb 8

12:06 p.m. DUI (arrested) — Out of County — Hit n run that occurred at the Flying J – Suspect vehicle heading southbound on Highway 91 from Bonneville County – White Chevy Colorado no plate. RP following in a maroon Toyota Tundra or Tacoma – Suspect vehicle has front end damage on the passenger headlight and back window is broken out and covered with tape.

2:46 p.m. Grand-Theft — S Emmerson Ave — Stolen Firearm.

8:30 p.m. Civil Stand-by — W Oak St — RP would like to meet at the city park and then go to his ex’s residence, (name removed) while he retrieves some items. RP en route to the park ETA 20 mins in a blue Nissan Monroe.

Feb 9

12:18 a.m. Prowler — W Oak St — Rp states her ex (name removed) is standing outside her window.

12:44 p.m. Request Assistance — S State St — (name removed) wallet was turned into Artic Circle after being left there, was turned over to PD. RP request call to confirm if Shelley Police Department has the wallet.

1:11 p.m. Request Assistance — Skate Park — Fire department employee requesting someone to respond to the skate park. Teenagers rang on the ring cam and stated they were locked out of their vehicle. Request an officer to speak with them.

11:10 p.m. Traffic Complaint — N State St — 2 cars are traveling at a high rate of travel. One is a silver 4 door. Another is a light colored van that is dirty. They are drag racing.
