Marci Kay Fielding obituary

Marci Kay Fielding, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, in Idaho Falls, Idaho at the age of 45.

Marci was born on July 2, 1976, in Logan, Utah to Michael Vern Jensen and Linda Kay Griffeth Jensen. Marci was the oldest of six children. Shortly after her birth, Marci and her parents moved to Shelley, Idaho where Marci would spend her entire childhood. Throughout her life, Marci enjoyed many activities including softball, volleyball, basketball, and spending time with her friends and family. Marci graduated from Shelley High School in 1994 and then went on to attend Ricks college where she earned her Associate degree in General Studies. Following her time at Rick’s college, she attended Vo-Tech at Idaho State University where she learned medical billing.

Marci was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she made cherished friendships and enjoyed serving those she associated with. Marci befriended all she came in contact with. Once you were a friend, you were a friend for life. She prided herself on knowing names, dates, and birthdays of those she loved. She loved the Savior and held those values close to her heart throughout her life. Marci met the love of her life, Jay W. Fielding, in a singles ward in Firth, Idaho. They sealed their love through marriage in the Idaho Falls temple on October 19, 2002, for time and all eternity. Marci’s greatest joy in this life was to be a wife to Jay and a mother to their six beautiful children.

Marci is survived by her husband, Jay W. Fielding and her six children: Ryan Fielding (16), Hallie Fielding (14), Andrea Fielding (12), Erica Fielding (12), Tyler Fielding (9), and Landon Fielding (7). She is also survived by her parents: Mike and Linda Jensen of Shelley, ID; sister, Lindsay (Kenny) Jacobsen of Firth, ID; sister, Melissa (Jeremy) Clayson of Firth, ID; brother, Brad (Chelsee) Jensen of Shelley, ID; brother, Mark (Natalie) Jensen of Ammon, ID; sister, Michelle (Seth) Stoor of Shelley, ID, 70 nieces and nephews and 35 great nieces and nephews.

Marci was preceded in death by her grandparents; Rex and Emily Jensen and Edward and Rheta Griffeth.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Firth Stake Center (823 N 675 E Basalt). The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 till 7:30 P.M at Nalder Funeral Home (110 West Oak Shelley) and Friday from 9:30 till 10:40 A.M. at the church. Interment will be in the Taylor Cemetery.
